Would you Like to see the eGo with color options

  • Yes, I would buy a colored ego over what is available right now.

I too have to say I'm very impressed. I got a pretty bum atty with my Ego, but I thought, okay, I'll go through the ropes. Submitted my ticket, they sent me a new atty and it works perfect. Big difference from the bum one I received. They did this fast and communicated well, it was great. I am mailing the bum one back on Monday. Thanks guys!

what was the symptom of your bad atty?

I ask because I just got an ego recently, and cannot produce very much vapor at all.....and the draw is HARD.

I was just asking about the ac to usb part because I am thinking of buying the madvapes 5v pt and its takes 1 amp to run it.
MV sells a number of PT's Is this for a 510?

This one here looks like a standard Joye 510 PT.

Seeing as the USB is just charging the inline battery most 5V @ 500mA supplies work. Your Janty PS may also work.

There is also this one.

He says:
Please note, this manual USB Passthrough does not contain a battery and requires at least 1 amp from the USB port. I have personally tried it on a new PC, 2 old PCs and an extremely old notebook with no problems. May not work on some USB hubs or adapters. The actually voltage is between 4.6 and 4.8 volts.
To drive a Joye 510 atty (and an eGo atty) you'll need more than a 5V @ 1A (1000ma) adapter. To get to the voltages he claims you'll need twice that much, about 2000mA. Also note many of the Chinese AC adapters do not always provide what they claim.

Your best bet would be to start a thread asking for recomendations of power supplies folks have actual experience with, not Google searches.

I am thinking of buying the bottom one with no battery, lot of good reviews on it.

I can tell you one thing; This is not the thread to be asking that in. You might wanna make a new post, seeing as its not that polite to change topic or impose huge pictures on people trying to follow a specific thread ;)

Its okay - you can definately ask that here, but Ethan/Jeff is still the one that needs to answer your question - so noone else on this forum can help you, and thats why i think Stubear tried to point you in that direction.

Youre ofcourse welcome to ask away with any question you have, but shipping or direct customer relations regarding specific points might not be so relevant to the board, thats why we try to keep it at a minimum! :D

Hope that makes sense.. im tired.. ! =)

Why not go for a real mod instead of Janty's gimmicky made in china junk , the ego may last longer than a standard 510 battery but not longer than say a good Mod ie: Adaptever , GG , Silverbullet ,Prodigy, Chuck.

These devices offer more options and are almost indestructible . I have never tried the ego it looks cool and slim but with the proprietary batteries and such I'd stay away from it personally and the switch is just bound to fail eventually leaving you with a worthless piece of junk .

The other mod devices are a little bit more costly than a chinese toy but will provide you with a longer life span and less trouble more vaping .

Just my Opinion , Tommy

I moved to mods fairly early on for a variety of reasons. First, the battery life on the standard e-cigs was simply too short. Second, I worried about a ban, and I figured that non-proprietary batteries were the way to go. Third, non-proprietary batteries were cheaper.

I have several mods, all of which I love, but the PV that I'm vaping all the time now is my eGo. The battery life rivals any mod I have. I'm also finding that whatever the power output is, it seems to be perfect with the 510 atomizer . . . a powerful, strong vape, but still flavorful.

But what clinches the deal for me is the eGo's size. For the first time since I've started vaping, my "to go" kit is tiny. I can fit an extra battery, a couple of 3ml bottles of liquid, and a spare atomizer into a coin purse, and off I go. The eGo itself typically goes into a pocket. It is positively liberating to travel so light and yet feel that I have everything I need.

While the price of non-proprietary batteries was certainly a factor in my initial decision to move to mods, I have to say that for me it wasn't the main reason . . . it was the longer battery life. With the eGo, I get that longer battery life in a smaller package. I don't mind paying for that.

Is the eGo for everyone? Of course not. But for people who enjoy a smaller PV, for the first time, they're not being asked to sacrifice battery life for size. Truth be told, if the eGo had been available back in March when I picked up my first mod (a Screwdriver), I might not have felt the need to go down the mod path. ;)

i am all with JustJulie.

and i own a bunch of mods, and i like most of them. selfmade, Silverbullett, different Bullis with 14500 battery and 18650 a 905. low voltage/high voltage, but what is with me most of the time now ? 70% of the day the eGo and the rest the silverbullet on 3.7V

maybe i have a few more, and i may order another soon. a GGTS is on the way already.

no mod on earth is indestructable, and the eGo is a very fine delicate vaping machine for a decent price.

Just my Opinion,

Kelemvor :D

Across ECF there are plenty of shipping threads where customers are updated on the shipping status of their products. There are plenty of those threads even in the Janty Sub-forum dating back to the Dura release. I have posted the following links to the Janty Sub-Forum but did not include the countless others that can be found in other Vendors Sub-Forums to avoid committing another faux pas:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/jantyusa/60583-jantystick-v3-now-available.html

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/jantyusa/10962-dura-c-status.html

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/jantyusa/17254-janty-stick-normal-sets-update.html

There are more but I think the above illustrates the point.

I simply wanted to know for myself & for everyone else who is awaiting the February 2nd shipment of the eGo if that was still the plan. Delays are definitely not unheard of so I think this was a reasonable question and one that other folks who have ordered an eGo might be interested in as well. A forum seemed the perfect place to distribute and receive an update in mass rather than a singular email that one, limits the communication to one on one and two, tends to inundate the original recipient with multiple variations on the same questions. Based on Stubear's & now your response this is obviously not the case so I'll email Ethan for my future inquiries.
