I was just asking about the ac to usb part because I am thinking of buying the madvapes 5v pt and its takes 1 amp to run it.
I too have to say I'm very impressed. I got a pretty bum atty with my Ego, but I thought, okay, I'll go through the ropes. Submitted my ticket, they sent me a new atty and it works perfect. Big difference from the bum one I received. They did this fast and communicated well, it was great. I am mailing the bum one back on Monday. Thanks guys!
MV sells a number of PT's Is this for a 510?I was just asking about the ac to usb part because I am thinking of buying the madvapes 5v pt and its takes 1 amp to run it.
To drive a Joye 510 atty (and an eGo atty) you'll need more than a 5V @ 1A (1000ma) adapter. To get to the voltages he claims you'll need twice that much, about 2000mA. Also note many of the Chinese AC adapters do not always provide what they claim. Please note, this manual USB Passthrough does not contain a battery and requires at least 1 amp from the USB port. I have personally tried it on a new PC, 2 old PCs and an extremely old notebook with no problems. May not work on some USB hubs or adapters. The actually voltage is between 4.6 and 4.8 volts.
I am thinking of buying the bottom one with no battery, lot of good reviews on it.
Why not go for a real mod instead of Janty's gimmicky made in china junk , the ego may last longer than a standard 510 battery but not longer than say a good Mod ie: Adaptever , GG , Silverbullet ,Prodigy, Chuck.
These devices offer more options and are almost indestructible . I have never tried the ego it looks cool and slim but with the proprietary batteries and such I'd stay away from it personally and the switch is just bound to fail eventually leaving you with a worthless piece of junk .
The other mod devices are a little bit more costly than a chinese toy but will provide you with a longer life span and less trouble more vaping .
Just my Opinion , Tommy
