This thread is worrying for me. I haven't tried the CE3's since they changed? What have they changed about the product?

I am still using the CE3's from the first time round and some I bought as a back up a few weeks later and they are still performing very well. Now I am concerned any new ones I buy will not perform as well.

I have been using the CE3's from S.I. and an occasional Phoenix clearos about 4 or 5 months - love em and wouldn't go back to cartos again. I have had to toss 1!! I just fill them slowly with the syringe when I first use them. Syringe them out when I finish; let them stand and refill. Only had the 1 I tossed leak. Rest still going strong. I have plenty of spares as I live over here and don't want to run out, but haven't needed them so far. Sry to hear about all your problems. Cheers

Sitting down, facing forward.
After reading this thread and experiencing a similar problem with clearos, een down to the "generic" answer from SI CS, I'm really getting worried. I know SI doesn't manufacture any of this stuff themselves, neither does any of the other vendors, but the total disconnect between manufacturer and vendor is getting to be a real problem. Supposedly, the new version of the CE3 is an improvement, ceramic cup for the coil/wicks and a longer base for better structural strength but from what I see here it's really a step backwards. Whats more irritating, to me anyway, is that they were changed an SI either didn't have any idea a change had been made or didn't mention it anywhere. The same is true of the clearos. With those I had a problem convincing them that a change had been made. I really like CE3s on an automatic stick battery, but if they're getting to be a problem, I'll start looking elsewhere.

Since nobody makes their own CE3s, what good would getting them somewhere else do? I too really like the CE3s but dependability is really starting to worry me. I now leave for work with no less then 4 filled CE3s and as a backup a filled X2 clearo. I should only have to take 2!

What gets me is that these were PERFECT for me until this manufacturing change. Great flavor, great vapor, not a big hassle, etc. I have no idea why they changed anything, unless it was to save .0000005/clearo in production. Which would not surprise me in the least....
bah!

I've got a few X2s. They don't quite do it for me. I get a lot of air draw in all three of mine.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't think so. I'll be giving the X2s another try though.
I believe SI is doing some kind of update to those too.....
:::shudder:::
In the meantime I've gone back to my regular old Volts and Halo G6s using regular and low resistance cartos.
They aren't bad, but they aren't what I want either.

I think there definitely is something different about the CE3s I got the last time I ordered. I used to be able to put 1.3 - 1.4 mL of juice in them, but I can only fit .9mL in these new ones. It's weird. I'm using the same syringes that came with the pack. I've also had three out of the five that came in the pack leak like crazy. It actually killed one of Echo batteries since it's not sealed. It's not like I don't know how to fill them... I've been using the CE3s and loving them since SI started stocking them. Since I'm down a battery anyway, I'm taking this an opportunity to switch over to a 510 system and then I can give the Vivi Novas or T3s a try.

There are many trading companies that prestend to be factories... this may not have been the factory... We do buy this from the direct factory but we buy them generically... Every design of every battery and cartomizer clearomizer is being worked on and tested and trying to improve.. its an every moving forward technology... since we do buy them generically we are getting what everyone else is getting who carries the Ce3....we have also addressed the concerns with the factory that makes them...however it will be up to them on how they procede with them.... We are confident that syringeless bottom coil tech will catch up soon and hopefully we can drop this factory from our line up. Do not panic...we will not do so unless there is something better.

that appears to be a trading company... there are many ways to obtain that info....which is mostly industry secrets....

However they sell Joye products ....and joye is its own factory joytech which is very well known...that is an easy way to weed out the trading companies...A factory will only sell what they make or a replica of something another factory makes...they would not claim it to be joye if it was a knock off...

Trading companies will always claim to be the actual factory ...when in reality they are middle men ..who buy large amounts of product and resell it or take an order and just process and take a cut.....also another red flag is the bad english...real factories have reps that speak english very well... for example we have one rep we use for one product... that says OMG and quoted the simpsons the other day haha...

Trading comapnies are 100 to 1 compared to actual factories in shenzen.

It's better life tech btw. If that's not who makes your CE3 (and I would be very surprised if they are not the same) device let me know so we don't waste our time.

Oh well then. From what I've gathered then, you've raised the issue and they may or may not be doing anything to fix the issue, it is in their hands. And you'd sooner replace the line then keep it due to the hassle. Just trying to get a clear picture.

It's a shame that it's taken this much trouble to get this far. All your other products work flawlessly, I'm a big fan. Though I would not say I will use the nanos, mine have never worked and i don't like the drip tip only design. If the CE3 is fixed, please don't drop the line.

yes we have addressed the issue..but since we only buy this one product from that factory we have limited buying power....like Ted's electronic shop saying to samsung make a better TV... just a tough fight but we have addressed it... but again we are getting the same ones that everyone else is getting...I know of no one selling a specialized design. I am sure most are complaning about the issue to them as well... But with SI we will always make right any DOA issues and things of that nature :)

X2 in this case was meant to mean "I agree".

When I say "start looking elsewhere " I mean looking for a different delivery system entirely. I know they all come from the same factory. But I was under the impression that SI was having them made to their own specs, beside the 808 thread spec. That is what I had come to believe from other posts and threads here in the SI forum. Now that has been debunked by the posts here. Very disappointing!
