OK, why all the ProVari hate?

Sometimes I wonder if some imported devices are made from whateverwehadonhand alloy. Aluminum can be great stuff or low grade crap. Pot metal can be high grade or brittle as chalk.
Of course. It's just a battery holder. Why on earth would you need to use high quality materials in a battery holder? ;) Haven't you seen the latest tincanium mod? Made from 100% recycled materials. :)

Edit: As for the pot metal, I wouldn't want that stuff near my mods or tanks. I wet shave and some of the modern 3 piece razors use chromed Zamak (zinc alloy). I stick with the tried and true, vintage brass, nickel plated razors.

Richmond, Va...Right in Altria's back yard.
I think that chart only applies to atty's and cartos...
Not truly relevant to rebuildables, due to the cooling affect that the larger air chamber has.
I wrap a 1.1 ohm coil in my geni tank for a cool vape on an unregulated mod.
according to these charts, i'm borderline nuclear... but my vape is a cool flavourful vape.
**my personal preference**

That might well be the same reason my carto tank with a 2ohm carto is a cooler vape than the chart suggests. Good post.

If ECF was a RPG, that mod would fall under the category of "Rare legendary artifact," the fact that it's made from unobtainium doesn't hurt either. Hopefully they will start getting the green leds in larger quantities soon.

I have a map to unobtainium nodes if you're interested.

Air chamber volume and shape, distance from coil to mouth, gauge of wire in coil (there are many ways to get a 2 Ω coil but each one has a different hetaing and cooling profile due to mass). There are many things that affect perceived heat.

Vape on your AGA-T...
Take the drip tip off of your AGA-T and vape straight from the cap...
Now cover the air hole and start vaping from the cap while barely uncovering it enough for a minute air flow...
Same device three different vape profiles.

I am a ProVari owner. Got it about a week ago. If I wanted to start a flame war thread I could have chosen a number of different topics that would have gotten more people involved. :) I generally avoid drama and was asking a genuine question.

I was just kidding around. I know it was a genuine question. That's why I said you probably didn't even vape and why I put the smiley with the tongue hanging out. Like this>:p It means I'm just goofing.

No wonder you have problems with the fanbase, making comments like that. I used to spend nearly $2,000 a year on cigarettes, which was something like 8 percent of my income. At that price, there isn't a mod sold that is unaffordable to any ex-smoker. You just have to take a long term view.

"It's a great mod, but for it's price tag and features it's not really worth it". I meant that line, because there are far better mods in it's own price range, let alone ones that are CHEAPER.

Not argueing with you at all; a Provari won't suit everyone's expectations or vaping preferences.

Just curious what you consider to be better mods in the Provari's price range, and why? To keep it fair and a more apples-to-apples comparison, please limit the comparison to the same price range or cheaper.

Such as?....

and please don't list a mechanical mod. There is no comparison between a regulated device and a mechanical device. They are two different devices intended for two different styles of vaping and are not comparable to eachother.

Gotta love this thread.

Not a fan boy or hater of the Provari. I have a couple - a mini on the way. They work great! But I also have other pv's which work great as well.

I love a VV spinner topped with a clearo. They work wonderfully for me and I use and enjoy them as much as the provaris and other mods. But I must say, my discontinued V1 black chrome provari is beat to hell finish-wise and hasn't skipped a beat. Dropped on every surface imaginable and just keeps chugging along. Something to be said for that.

Hell, as long as we're not smoking cigarettes, right? For example, I'm not a fan of Blu, V2, Greensmokes, etc., but if it gets you off of cigarettes, go for it! The rest is icing on the cake.

I'm trying to get over the shock that this thread has lasted this long. When I joined ECF it was for help and information. The support from members so I could stop the cigarettes. I've always spoken highly of ECF and the support I've received when I was in need. I'm really surprised that the Moderators have let this continue this long. It seems that there are more and more threads where a member is hating on another members device. I'll admit that I haven't read all the post but the ones I have read..................well I'm not seeing any support in them. Sorry just my :2c: I thought we were here to help others, not cause hate.

I think you really need to read the whole thread with an open mind and not just the title. There's not a lot of bashing going on in here. And yes, I do know that you own quite a few ProVari's.

Maybe I just got started with the wrong part of the conversation. Sorry if I came across in the wrong way. While it's true that I do own 3 Provari's I still own and daily use a lot of other mods also. Heck I use a little 400mah spinner a lot (and really like it also.). I like my mechanical SB to. I like all my PV's. I've posted in this thread before, and just came back because I found that someone gave me a like. (I always check back when someone does that). The truth is that I've never found a PV or APV that I didn't like.
I'm not a fanboy of any device. The only device I'll be a fanboy of is the one that works for you, to keep you off cigarettes. :toast:
