Oh, that's nasty! So sorry about your knee. Rotowoman is right - ice is your friend! Hope you get it checked out and it turns out OK.

Whoa! Careful you don't poke your eye out with that tip! Bet it gives a nice cool vape.

Nice job on the avi! That's perfect!

Already have. Basically I am trying to postpone the inevitable. Doctor has already said I need new ones. Just trying really had to wait until after the move. If I get them done before we move I figure it will be another year, as is I think another 3 to 5 months before we finally are moved.

Bad news is I blew out my left knee when I got up from the table.

Day-um! Keep da ice on fer as long as ya can.

Only difference I can see is the one from the doctor was $350 more.

Same wid my Dad's wheel chair years ago. Medicare was billed $650 fer a $275 model!

....that don't mean ya can't HELP me!! lol

Once I got my new knee I couldn't understand why I had waited as long as I did. It is so wonderful to live in a time when they can replace them.

It sure got quiet around here. I guess everyone is tired from all their Xmas activities. Or, comatose from over-eating.

I can't go to sleep for a little while, not until all the smoke clears out so I can close the back door. I left the stove on and forgot about it. Until the smoke detectors started to go off, that is.

I think my food is done.

Lol I hope the food was edible! I just finished my first shift as a vaper. Was cool being able to vape at my desk while I worked :D

Get 10 packs, repack them in pairs and label them "Custom Coil Tool", sell 'em for $3.95 on amazon, plus shipping, of course :)

Too funny, I have no doubt they'd sell too. Some folks will buy anything!!

Nah, more like marshmallow fluff. Not sure but I'm going to ask. As far as the knees, we aren't going home till the middle of January and the braces are definitely helping. I am using the hard hinged brace during the day and a "class 1" soft neoprene (like a wetsuit) one at night. The nighttime one just holds everything together so it doesn't ache while I'm trying to sleep. So far both seem to be working well. Thanks for asking.

Yeah, some folks do that too. Never did quite understand that one, but whatever trips their trigger. :)

Glad to oblige ya, ma'am...

roflmao!! You better run...you brat!! lol (hope I deleted the big image and left the lil one) lol

Kewl! My SIL was told many years ago when she was still able to work that she needed a new knee, but they wouldn't pay for her to get one. Said when you're older they'll do it. She said......when I'm older I won't need it as bad......I need it now so I can keep working! Now she's older, jup medicare will pay for it now, but she has to lose some weight. they didn't discuss whether her smoking and severe COPD would prevent the surgery or not, not to mention a heart condition. She's the one who first told me about vaping (she had a disposable), and when I started wheezing a bit, I came and found ECF.

The inside was edible. The outside went down the disposal.

I guess I'll have to try again tomorrow.

Rut-roh! What were you making?

Ahhh. The old "smoke detector method"! ;-)

Oh matt, meant to say I'm glad you're finding some relief. I have the neoprene type brace from when I fell again back in July. Has the metal running down both sides. Didn't do me a lot of good. Couldn't keep it on for one, kept sliding when my pant leg would shift down a bit. Luckily I didn't do serious damage, they said probably torn meniscus.

I wear it under the pants. Stays in place pretty well. Oh and good morning to you. Where are my manners these days? :)

When I first got the chop on my legs I was still on the companies insurance. They got me a Jazzy fancy one billed them $6000 but it makes a great coat rack. If I ever need it which I did when I broke my hip and shoulder at the same time it came in handy but I don't have any way of hauling it anywhere. Thought of putting a cart on it so the wife could ride in the cart but needs new batteries now. Good way to get around flea markets.:D

Speaking of Xmas lights, the view to the ground was gorgeous during my flight from Atlanta to Raleigh yesterday evening. I know, without pictures it didn't happen, but when you're sitting in the middle seat of 3, just try to move your arms without elbowing your seatmates! Plus, my camera was in my bag in the overhead rack, and getting up to get it? Fuhgeddaboudit.

lol Mornin! Yeah I was thinking bout shorts, but SIL keeps it too cool in here for me for shorts. But after about 3 days of wearing the thing, I wasn't really hurting so much, just a bit, so I quit foolin with it. So I'm sure it did help. Just was a pain in the tukus.
A brace that transfers pain from the knee to the tukus... hmm.

Found my bride a used like-new four wheel Jazzy mobility scooter for $300 (aka 'steal') similar to...

Got tired real quick, of breaking it down and reassembling (4 pieces). So I treated myself and bought a used one of these...

Medicare would have bought the scooter, but it would have taken at least a year to process the paperwork! Apparently, too many folk in the past would 'em get for their grandkids to ride around on. So now it's a major pain in da buttocks to get.
