Hey Russell! Count your blessings! You could be tarring roofs or cleaning out sewers or something fun like that! It may be boring, but it's a job. Maybe you could use the time to take some notes and write a song or a book. I'm glad you don't have to knock yourself out at this job. As we get older the jobs should get easier. Now somebody tell Roto that!

Birdie, sheer poetry!

I have so few words for people who are going through such situations. The pain is the same as I have experienced, but the situations are immensely different, and inappropriate for this board. I have two others where I can let it loose. I often cope by going into automaton mode, but that doesn't mean on a deeper level that I don't feel. Drinking is not an option, due to past alcohol abuse, and that even after one drink, the next day my BP gets dangerously high.

My son is in a psych unit, and will need structured environments for a long time. I don't need to explain the details, but I ask for your prayers. He is an Aspie with a substance abuse problem, who has been torn to pieces with conflicted social environments. He has apparently been trying AA, but that may not be the right way for him. He is 500 miles away, and, as you know, telephone is difficult for me.

I am thankful he is in a large metro area, where there are resources to help him with such a unusual combination of problems, but my feelings of helplessness sometimes overwhelm me. I would love to be able to cry, but even that has been taken away from me.

not evening anymore, but good morning to you and all the other porchers..life is normal, except that my first Great Grandson arrived Saturday evening..not sure about his name though, Oliver Castle, came in at 8lbs-12ounces and 21 1/2".

Congratulations! #1 of the next generation! Whoop!

Has anyone noticed that the price of gasoline keeps going up when the price of oil is at its lowest like $40 a barrel. It has gone up 50cents a gallon here in about a month and a half. It is now at $2.10 It was at $1.60

Summer fuel mix costs more to make.

Well the price of crude yesterday was 38.42 a barrel and gas was 1.45 on commodities market. We have one of the highest taxes on gas in the US but sounds to me like oil companies are making big money, bigger then usual. They just tighten the supply of the refined product and screw us. What's new.

We are usually lower than the national average, but I topped ogf my tank today for 1.85 a gal. Gotta do Mom's tomorrow.

Try to relax into it... from experience when I get leg issues, tensing just makes it worse. Never had to deal with what you do, but it's a thought.

Hey Y'all.........just poking my head in. I've had my head buried up to my neck in freaking o'rings. If I see one more o'ring, I think I'll scream. I think I missed some posts, but oh well, who knows??? I hope everybody had a great Easter. I'll be out here two extra days. I'll be training the new guy who replaced butthead that left. This should be interesting. I got word that he's a former marine....he knows how to run a warehouse....., and ya can't tell him nuthin..............Well, we shall see because I'M Queen Bee around here.........dammit. As brain fried as I am, I'm NOT in the mood for BS.

Ah, but tonight has been the night from HELL!! At my last count, we have lost power out here at least 20 times tonight. The wind has been horrendous. We haven't had any rain except for the beginning of the week, but the wind was doing a number on the electricity on the island tonight. However, it was also my understanding that 20 miles up the road from us they were having the same problems. It got so bad that I had to walk out to the front gate to get my parts from the truck tonight. There was no power, so we couldn't open the gate. The parts driver had to pass my parts to me under the gate!!

I finally shut my work computer down to try to keep it from frying. Two more days, and then I'm OUTTA here!! The next two nights should be interesting. I will be training the new guy. Didn't I already say that? Oh hell, age is catching up with me.

Roto, methinks you need to look for a new job.
