Traditionally, as a new day dawns and a new thread unfolds, I have always added a few musical selections .. fortuitously or by precise alignment of the Universe in General, Moon Phase or Tides, today happens to be the birthday of one Elvis Aaron Presley .. Born: January 8, 1935 .. (and Kay, you thought I forgot .. ?? ;) ) ... so, although to my knowledge, the thread re-boot was never planned with this particular moment in mind, Karma / Kismet has brought us here, on this day ..

Can I get a Hallelujah .. ;)

Thusly, I offer up a couple very nice covers that I personally like as well as one of "The King" in his prime (which also happens to be one of my more favorite Elvis selections :)) ..

Hallelujah !!! ....:D

Lastly (I promise) .. from the "Gifts That Just Keep on Giving" department, if you are a Member of the Googleverse in it's many incarnations, bag 30 Elvis #1 Hits For Free Today via Google Play .. I will warn you, Mr/Ms Google is likely to ask for a CC number, which will, of course, not be billed .. it's just another Ploy by Google in it's continuing efforts to Take Over The World As We Know It .. ;)

does not seem to work for me using Firefox.

I am using Firefox and just used it to reply to your post... I highlighted the words you see and then the little box comes up next to the highlight where you choose quote or reply...

Phil .. We've got to let Sandy catch her breath .. I'd guess she's been slaving over this reboot and likely had just a twinge or three of anxiety along the way .. just guessing .. ;) .. after all, she got up this morning .. ;)

Okay Willie, Monday it is then - let's get cracking and set a new record - gotta keep Yiddle awake though or at least catch her while she is on a regular sleep schedule - no telling how long that will last...:D

....I thought I was just getting ready for the Odyssey....didn't know I was in training for a marathon...

Math problem, yay!
Since the Creamy Cappuccino is 1/3 of the final mix, use 1/3 of the percentages for each ingredient of the
Creamy Cappuccino Part
1% Cappuccino
0.33% Cream Fresh
0.33% sweetener of choice

The Caramel Cupcake Supreme is 2/3 of the final mix, so use 2/3 of the percentages for each ingredient of the
Caramel Cupcake Supreme Part
6.67% Vanilla Cupcake
3.34% Bavarian Cream
2% Caramel V2
2% Marshmallow
1.33% Butter
1.67% sweetener of choice

The sweetener is common to both parts so the totals can be added together: 2% sweetener

Yeah, that's the SIMPLE part! LOL! But then, 6.67%???? I need a fresh, uncluttered mind to convert that all to milliliters. I WILL ROUND. ;) But honestly, THANK you for doing that much! I swear, sometimes, there are not enough minutes in my day. :D

Oh. It's not that bad. I just grabbed my trusty little calculator and 6.67% of 60 ml (my normal batch size) is 4 ml. OK, fine, ya big showoff! Here I thought it was gonna be hard doing both the conversions... I need a drink now. :)

Just out of curiosity, is it a software thing or a tradition? Seems like 15,000 is kind arbitrary with the new forum software being all modern and such. ;)

It appears to be a hangover from the old forum code. Many people mentioned in the beginning of using the new forum that other sites using Xenforo (?) have huge threads w/o issues.

???
What did you call me ?

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Or a cologne. ;)

There aren't stupid looking blue bears in the commercial are there?

I'll second that. We do miss you, a lot. :)

Ok, I'm trying the damn multi quote. Slack requested. ;)

Welcome to the back porch Lannie. Post as much or as little as you want, always welcome regardless. :)

Agreed. Always did seem kinda arbitrary.

Is that Matt multi-quoting?

I think (my personal opinion only) it would be cool if they would let us keep a thread for a whole year no matter how many or how few posts we have and then at the close of the year - we have a big New Year saying goodbye to the thread send off and a kick off with the start of the new thread the next year... We could have the send off over the period of a few days so the individuals that have family commitments on New Years are not left out with the closing of the annual thread...

What do you think???

ECF upgraded hardware prior to the switch to the new Xenforo software .. with plans for continued Forum growth .. in actuality, the Forum has shrunk as it relates to the number of users, as compared to what it was in it's hey day .. there is no lack of spare processing power under the current scenario .. in fact, if memory serves, based on what the hardware upgrade was at the time, 6 Forums could be running using the same gear .. Old Soldier, who I have not seen in a while orchestrated the hardware upgrade and I believe there was a thread that talked about it ..

XenForo actually lowers server load compared to other Forum softwares such as vBulletin .. in addition, it's cheap .. if I remember, around 600 bucks for the whole package .. per year ..

Just for grins - I had to calculate it...

In the first 6 hours of the thread - we were averaging 15.2 posts per hour, which means this thread will close (if the current pace was maintained) in 984 hours or 39 days - about Valentines Day...

Do you think we can do it - I will be long gone on my trip before then - so ya'll will have a lot of fun maintaining that pace and all the money spent on the new eye wear will dent your shiny budgets...
