Last computer job I had I was working for a man I had worked with in the past at other companies and we were good friends. One day I walked into his office with a report and he was sitting there, headphones on, rocking out. I got his attention and he unplugged the headphones. Prince When Doves Cry was blasting away. So we just sat and listened for awhile. Fond memories of a very talented artist.

After Clem's refusal to address valid security concerns as to how updates were pushed, I dumped Mint. Using Fedora23 now and after 2 months of daily usage, has become my daily driver.

As for the gathering, seems a little too much fun was had by some?

It has been awhile since I played with Mint, so I was unaware of this. Fedora also seemed to be a good distro. Most of my Linux experience was with more hands on distros, because I liked learning and tinkering. But in the end I kept booting back into Windows for gaming, so never quite managed to stick with Linux. Time to see what the Linux world looks like these days before I offer any more suggestions.

An Academy Award for best music/original music score for the movie, seven Grammy Awards, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And who could forget his 2007 Superbowl halftime show? Writer, performer, musician, dreamer, he will be missed.

But, I'm a beginner at Linux. I thought fedora was for more 'advanced' users. And, how serious are the security concerns in Mint?
