<sigh...> Well, dis was one of da fastest and memory filled week ever!

All our Odyssey Porchers are now on da road or in da air and I'm home. Da Tiki House is empty but our hearts are full!

I won't bore ya'll with all da superlative positive adjectives dat apply. But trust me, try to attend da Odyssey II, when and wherever it may be. Ya won't regret it!

Besides, I still have a bunch more hugs to distribute <hint, hint...> <oh, wait, did I just scare some folk off?>

<... sigh>

Peter and I arrived home about an hour ago!

I suspected our goodbyes (so longs) would be difficult, but not nearly as emotional as it was......We Porchers have established such a close bond throughout the years, but this Odyssey put the icing on the cake. No matter if we stay, leave, or take a respite from the board, there will always be that connection among friends who mean a great deal to me.

THANK YOU all for being just 'you'. A beautiful memory was made!!! :) :)

ETA: Yes, Johnny, we did make it to Fresh Market!!!

Yeah I have been having a particularly bad bout with the social anxiety. Easter was a trial of way to many people in way to small a space setting off cascading panic attacks. I kinda had to regroup for a bit and get myself back in control.
I feel ya, mine is not as bad, but i work in sales, so it builds

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

Oh what am I going to do tomorrow morning without my Gracie fix ❤️

Mrs C, Janet, Yidde and I are waiting at the airport. So the Odysess is still going a bit for us. Tomorrow will be lonely without all my porch friends around

As for "kid therapy", I absolutely agree! We've always hated that we couldn't have kids of our own, so any time that we get to spend with kids is always "happy time"! :D
It was the same with my bride and myself. We each have kids from prior marriages, but we were unable to have any together. Whenever she would get a desire to have another baby we would babysit for a weekend. That desire would pass and we would be good for another few months. We also made some real good friends by babysitting, too. We have "adopted" kids from each duty station.

@Rat2chat2 ... the gals were shopping at the beach and "upped the ante" for foot bling.

My daughter makes jewellery so I saved these photos to show her when she gets home from shopping.

Come home from a 10+ hour day at work, lay down with the doggie an she PEES ON ME, real good for the self image...

She was just very happy to see you and lost control. I had a pug that would be very excited and piddle as she ran in circles.

Porchers must be at least this age:

And this tall:

If you meet those requirements "You Might Be a Porcher."
LOL, I love it.

Gosh darn it, my tootsies and everything else, should have been there. Appreciate all the pictures. Looks like there was a whole lot of "happy as a ____" there. Some of you know my saying.

<Don't tell anybody, but my thumb was over da mouth of da bottle...>
Ah come on, I was there, and I think I saw a bit of a dribble! What other reason would there be for you giggling so hard right after that picture was taken?

Making Gracie laugh before she has had her first cup of java is not a kind thing to do....btw..my hair is perfectly flat tonight.

Spent 3 hours at the east coast vaping convention in Daytona. Very tired and a bit sore from all the walking... Too tired to put up pics yet... I'm gonna go to my fave restaurant, so if Debadoo pops in, use my text number to contact me. :)
Ken, we were so spent and tired, I knew that we probably wouldn't have made it on the way home.....it sure did look a lot better than Tampa.....I agree with Cathy on that.
Oh, and what is your favorite restaurant?

Hey, hey, it's goin' to his church. Ever hear of wholly caphpheine? Helps everyone arise...

Admittedly, I did suck my thumb post foto.

OK, kinda tuckered out and need to be tucked in. Since I already tucked Patty in a bit ago, guess I'll just have to go tuck myself (as suggested by others in da past... wha...? Why dose birty dasturds...)

Catch ya'll on da Sabbath side!

ETA: Oh, Matt, apparently I got to da Tiki House 'bout 20 minutes after your departure. Here's a hearty hug and hopes for your safe return back home!

But, I'm a beginner at Linux. I thought fedora was for more 'advanced' users. And, how serious are the security concerns in Mint?

Why? Tell me more, please.

DH- back when i was a programmer geek (as opposed to a a run of the mill geek) i used to have to spend half my time in Windows (corporate infrastructure) and the other half in linux. i used Virtualbox to install linux on a Win7 machine. (I imagine it will work on Win10, tho i haven't tried it yet)

i had about 5 different linux distros running under Virtualbox (as well as several different versions of Windows), since we had to support different flavors.

Virtualbox is free, has decent documentation, and good online support. (At least it did when i was using it heavily)

VirtualBox – Oracle VM VirtualBox

this might be a good way to transition to linux. it allows you to dip your toes into the water before taking the cold plunge. installation of Virtualbox as well as distros is pretty straightforward.

All- enjoyed the Odyssey pics.

obligatory insomniac video...

I think I know why I felt so much better sitting in that chair...

I was leaning back a bit more than normal...When I am at work or at the laptop here I am leaning forward - which would be mushing up my tummy a bit. Tonight I am going to redo my sleeping set up to be leaning back just a bit more. (aside from the fact that it was just plain relaxing there)
