Made it home safe and sound. Well sound might be just a little debateable. More later. Oh and Good Morning all. :D
Matt, am so glad you checked in cause I was wondering about your long trip......oh, and a good morning back atcha!!

I think I know why I felt so much better sitting in that chair...

I was leaning back a bit more than normal...When I am at work or at the laptop here I am leaning forward - which would be mushing up my tummy a bit. Tonight I am going to redo my sleeping set up to be leaning back just a bit more. (aside from the fact that it was just plain relaxing there)
I am so happy that you decided to stay the night and yep, that was the Classy Chair/Bed!!!
The Odyssey did had a very relaxing (and fun, and silly) and good atmosphere.....
I'm curious to know if the altered position at home works as well.

Oh, did I forget to mention that Mike fell asleep in his chair, too! He looks better than I did when I fell into a carb induced semi-coma while meditating, but nevertheless. Here's the proof:

One year ago, May 13th, 2015 to be exact, the folk on the front porch helped me get my set up going and I smoked my last stinkie. I was invited to the back porch where I've roosted among the most delightful flock for the duration.

I would have never expected to meet up with the most wonderful crowd that showed up at the Odyssey. You folk rock my world and I am eternally grateful for all of the people who pulled together to make this event possible for all of us, especially those who didn't manage to make the trip yet gave 100% to make it happen for the rest of us. The hubby was amazed at the profound acceptance, love, and fellowship he witnessed. He was warmly pulled into the fold despite the fact that he is a non-vaper. We enjoyed your company immensely. The laughter, the awesome stories of more than a dozen lives shared, the hugs touched me deeply.

The turquoise water, tropical breezes, sun, and fun is over for now. It's the day after, but the memories will live in my heart forever. It was an incredible, fantastic week and smilely was with us all the way while people marked things off their bucket list.

We all hope you will pick up a paddle and join us on the bus for the Odyssey II.

And when you all get home, we want the stories you haven't told us yet.......;)
You all pretty much got it all. We tried to be open so those that couldn't attend could live vicariously through the pics and post. Also remember, what happens at the Odyssey stays at the Odyssey! :D

WE NEED A HANGOUT!!!

Withdrawal is painful!:D

I, too, feel bad that we couldn't seem to work out a good way to include all of you via the Hangout more than we did.:(

There seemed to be so much going on all the time!

It feels like I lost at least ten lbs. just trying to keep up with everyone:D

I would like to see an Odyssey 2016 Photo Album thread...just pics and descriptions/captions...maybe a touch of journaling...

( I can edit out 'chatter' that might get posted by accident and close it to further posts when compiled )

:)

( and I can re-open it if more needs to get added...)

But I thank my lucky stars that there was not a tape recorder running.

Good morning! Missing you already :(

I totally agree! I'll have to check out both my tiny camcorder and phone pic taking thing to see if I managed to get any. I slept about twelve hours last night/this morning.:)

oh...and the couple of ones that I managed to get of you I'll keep to myself....

I'm sitting here reminiscing about the most glorious time I've ever had with so many people that I've only gotten to know via the internet/HO.. tho, from the first, it felt as tho I'd been with them physically for a long time as it was so relaxed, full of laughter, sharing and caring...the meals...oh the meals!!!! 5*!!!!! Some folks did the prep and cooking, others took over and did the clean-up.If there was a glitch in the meal prep, others took over and got it straightened out.. every single one was delicious! And that's only the dinners! The breakfasts were just as delicious! I'm glad that we kept so active..but I'm still not gonna get on the scales....
I simply can't thank everyone enough for including me in this most awesome adventure!!

C&P from da Odyssey thread...

Some of you have been here since TX started The Porch thread. While I love hearing the stories from that history sometimes it makes me feel like the perpetual new kid on the block.

Kenna, we all were new 'kids' on the block. I think part of the attraction and comfort of the porches is that we do remember that feeling and try our best to welcome and embrace the new porchers

Especially when the conversation drifts to those who have moved on, or how the atmosphere isn't like it was in the beginning.

For many here, it's unavoidable remembering our cherished past porchers; and we should remember our porch history and lore! Keep in mind that back then many of us were not only porch n00bs, but also vaping tyros experimenting and sharing what worked and what didn't. I, and probably many others, are thankful for 'In the beginning' , but like it 'here' better right now!

As far as 'atmosphere', I totally enjoy celebrating the current one that generated last week's Odyssey! May there be many more, made possible by our history and lore.

Luv ya Sweety!
