Hi, I'm finally out of crisis mode with my vaping, so thought I'd come around back, and maybe get a chance to just chill. And find out who everyone is. It's morning in Au, a bit too chilly for a walk to the beach, but I've got a scruffy dog painting in progress, and think it's time to get it out and continue. So glad everyone is here.

That's rough. Where are the changes coming from? Do the changes give you any hint as to the direction things are going?
The changes are coming from a new director. The other one retired. All the parts people are up in arms with the BS right now. Then, I'm tired right now too because I worked another base for three days before I came to my own. I am on Day #9 now, and I past ready to go home.

I've been quite vocal about some of this stuff because I'm at the point that I don't care. What's the worst thing they can do to me? They can't kill me. All they can do is fire me. It's just been a huge fat mess that even has the maintenance guys questioning WTF is going on

Why, thank you. She was my queen of queens. Attached at the hip. Unfortunately, I lost her on Dec. 27th to a very rapidly growing brain tumor. I am still lost without her. I then lost my other dog on April 15, due to very weak legs and loss of quality of life. Been a rough few months and will take quite a few more to get past. I still have my little one, Maddy. She will be 2 in August. She has saved us many times over the last 4 months.

Aww...AW......I do SO understand the loss of our furry loved ones. That's why I'm in a hurry to get home now. My Breeze boy will be ecstatic, and so will Midnight, the cat.

After looking at the status rules I realized I was only 3 posts away from the next level so I just popped into the Newbie forum and welcomed a few folks and voila, I'm now an ultra member. I feel so special now... :w00t:

Welcome to the back porch. After your trials and tribulations getting set up for vaping you deserve some chill time.

Why does post count matter? Do we get a prize? I'm relatively new, although it looks like I've made senior as well.

No prize. ECF just changes a 'tag line' under your avi based on # of posts you've made.

Welcome Vape? No prizes. I'm quite satisfied learning that I can customize as a supporting member. Nothing at all against seniors, but I've always been an eccentric rebel. What's your medium. I paint in both oils and water colors, but I want to try acrylics. Ken_A gave me a froggie PV holder made with a 3-d printer using a wood-based substance that needs to be painted. I'm thinking acrylics would work best.

Hang in there Roto. You found that job when you were looking for it.

ok, I'm only up to page 591 but with the help of a friend, I realized that I needed to post and let everyone know I'm home (in Texas) got home last night. I had so much fun!! It was so wonderful to be able to spend time with Sea Peach and Mr Seapeach before and after the odyssey. They showed such amazing hospitality and made the odyssey even that much more special for me!! It meant more than I can say to be able to see folks I love and get actual in person hugs!!! Ok....gonna eat supper then go back to catching up. Jup, gonna read every post, just not liking many since that will add a lot to the time it takes to catch up since there are over 800 posts! Hugsssssssss

Two senior couples are walking along, wives in front, husbands in back. Herb says to Sam: "Gee, we went to a new restaurant last night and had the best meal ever. Good prices too."
Sam says, "Well, we like to eat out too. What was the name of the restaurant?"
Herb says: "You're going to have to help me out here a little. What's the name of that pretty flower, smells sweet, grows on a thorny bush?"
Sam says, "How about rose?"
"Yes, yes, that's it!" cries Herb, then calls ahead to his wife.
"Rose. Hey, Rose. What was the name of the restaurant we ate at last night?"

Oils for the last 15 years, but started in watercolour, still love it. Had to use acrylic in university, but found it very frustrating. Doesn't move well, and dries super fast. Upside is water soluble. I saw those frogs, weren't they nice? I've never seen a 3D printer in action.
