And now for something completely different.
in the strange dream category...
I'm that type of person who dreams of flying, floating down from bridges, running at the speed of sound, being chased by large dinosaurs in the city, etc... I even have a normal dreamscape where my dreams are staged. A city comprised of features from every city I've known, suburbs, farms, a couple of mountains and a seashore.
I learned long ago how to take charge of my dreams and chase anything that was chasing me and generally having a great time turning cities into forests, farms into launch pads for space and what not.
Last night: didn't have to go to the bathroom before I went to bed, so just went to bed...
Was having a nice little dream walking through one of the suburbs in my dreamscape and enjoying the spring weather... had to pee. so I decided to wake up and go to the bathroom.
woke up and was in a really comfortable position. Just didn't want to move... something is not right... legs and arms just not working... Oh. I'm still dreaming. WAKE UP!!! cool. got up and sat on side of bed. Something still not right. Test time. turn on the bedside lamp. no light. AH... STILL dreaming. make a huge effort to wake up and... that's strange... my bedroom door is in the wrong place and the "darkness" doesn't have the right quality. a bit mushy. darn. still asleep and still have to pee.
thrash around a bit to wake up, and did it. 'Now the bathroom is just down that hall'... um, no. it's on the other side of the living room. DARNIT!!! WAKE UP!!!
ah... there we go. everything is in the right positions. FIANLLY. was able to go to the bathroom and get back to bed and back to sleep.
6 times I had to wake myself up. normally when that happens, it only takes 2 or 3. so...
I was dreaming that I was dreaming that I was dreaming that I was dreaming that I was dreaming that I was walking in my suburb.
That ever happen to any of you?
