Just stopping by to announce that I am still alive, if not kicking. After my summer in the nursing home it has taken me some time to get interested in much of anything again. As an extreme introvert it was an extra bad place for me, and I really needed to be alone for a while, physically and electronically. Still not feeling very sociable, but I'm working on it.

Nice to see you again ... hope you get yourself under control ... and we see more posts for you.

With all of the good feelings and warm fuzzys floating around i thought i would put my two cents it.
I lurk most of the time and usually chime in with a smart alec remark when it comes to me, but i value everyone here (well, maybe) as the best group of friends i have. You guys have helped me through some pretty rough times, an i am grateful. I did not know any of the founders, but i did know jewels, and when i came back from my downtime and found out she had gone to be with her ancestors, i felt the loss.
There are some gems here, and coming from a red man/bull rider/tough guy/redneck/carpet salesman, i love you guys!

Wooohooo! We hit on last night's lottery. I'm going to blow the entire amount on a bag of play sand from Home Depot and start building my own island.

Oh and about my genny post the other day... I believe I may have mastered it. Thicker juices need a hollow wick when using 400 - 500 SS mesh. That seems to get her wicking just dandy. Trust me... I think I love my genny's because they get me working to get them functioning right. Since I changed my mesh tactics, I can have a denser wick, that functions as a straw, that also wicks, and doesn't burn instantly. I still should probably use a thinner wire, but 24AWG is going to have to do for now.

So...I awoke to freshly falling snow...it looks lovely....and a plethora of birdies on the feeders, including, finally, three cardinals...two males and a female. The two large feeders were more than half full last night...right now they're almost empty. One male cardinal's wings and back were so dark they almost looked black and the other one was so bright he almost looked orange!
