It will make you hungry.

I could use something to stimulate my appetite. I still feel like I'm force feeding myself 'cause I know I need food not that I feel like eating.

......makes me feel FRISKY....;)

oops ... nope ... no comment, Janet's in the room.

There really are a few good people out there......Dog was barking his fool head off, looked out my back door and there were two men clearing off the snow on the landing and ramp I have, down to the parking lot !!!! Told me that even their little snow blower couldn't do anything with all the hard packed snow in front. Said it's the same way all over, but.....they promised to dig out my front door tomorrow so I can get mail delivered....

Nice! Really Nice. If it weren't for our neighbor and his 2 kids (all three w/ their own snowblowers) coming over once on Saturday and then again on Sunday when the storm ended, I still wouldn't be plowed out. I was so grateful for their help.

definitely.

i first went online in '72 or '73. playing the original Dungeon-crawler game over my 110 baud modem. fun times.

within a year, i learned how to download actual programs (often from Russia back then) and started learning how to talk to people online. i remember a lengthy conversation i had with someone in France or Belgium (back when i still remembered all my French)

I don't remember when I first got on the Web, it was in the early days of Mozila and pretty dang basic surfing the web. I remember being amazed at being able browse some European University Libraries sitting at my kitchen table. Didn't have a clue where all this was going, but I wanted to be on the ride.

a refurbed 17 in. Dell Inspirion

Nice! I've had a number of Dell laptop's over the years for work and personal use - always liked 'em.

Anyone buy a printer recently in the $100 price range that they're happy with. Looking for one that does duplex printing and will still print black text pages even if one of the color cartridges is low/empty. Had a printer once that wouldn't print black if one of it color cartridges needed replacing.

How about "cabbie cap" or "taxi driver cap" for the name of that hat you were talking about? Not enough like a jockey cap to be called one.

I see that Gene mentioned persimmons. I don't know if I've ever tried one but will look when I go to the ghostelry store. Last time I went I got a pomegranate that I'm going to eat one of these days.

To those afraid to try okra: unlike asparagus and brussel sprouts, okra does not have a strong taste. Fried, it's not much more than a vehicle for the batter to stick to.

Black-eyed peas are my least favorite bean, but I'll eat 'em. Never had 'em up nawth but of course they're a staple here.

Hello ... it's now my 1 week sick-adversary.
well if you put an ad out for a virus, no wonder y'all got sick!!

Seriously, glad you're on the mend. Y'all remember the brat diet. Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. Hope Janet is soon on the mend also. My son and dil were supposed to be back home from her mom's today, but apparently dil isn't feeling well. Sure hope she's not getting this......but glad they didn't come back, cuz I sure don't want it! Hope everyone else over there doesn't get it too.

You've just never had blackeyed peas cooked right.

Y'all need a true Southern Cook to fix some if this stuff for you
Amen Darlin!!!!

Pan sizzled Salt Pork (with cathead biscuits, grits & red-eye gravy)
Now I gotta say.....I thought I knew most southern terms, particularly with food. But cat head biscuits was knew to me, had to look that one up. I've made them of course, just never heard em called that. I'm dyin for some fried green maters!! And what I wouldn't give for some country ham!!! (salt cured for those that don't know)

OMG OMG OMG!!!!

I just set up my new laptop....

all by MYSELF!!!!
