I'm going to be brutally honest here. I'll hug almost anyone, even strangers, but.....emphasis on almost.....there are some that had best not attempt to touch me....:sneaky:
Im not a hugger, would rather not shake hands, would really rather stay by myself in a cave in the woods, i have a morbid fear of people and hate to be in crowds or in small spaces woth people, but i am a salesman and i have 4 people living in my 1br apt. Go figure.

I did not want to junk up the front porch with my questions, but

I know Debadoo is a Purple Lover and now I see Debik is also - so - is it related to the name Deb or is the problem more wide spread than that??? :D:lol::D

Mustard chicken with roasted garlic on a bed of tangled noodles for dinner. How good does that sound?!

Cooking is another form of hugs :)
sounds very yummy.......and jup Kaz is right, cookin is a great form of hugs! Nuttin better when you're injured or under the weather than for some sweet soul to realize you probably can't cook, or don't much feel like it.

I'm still playin' catch up over here, but thought I'd better go ahead and get this out there...
CT and MRI scans were done Thursday, then Friday we saw the oncologist. Basically, the tumors have continued to grow in spite of the chemo treatments. Not only have the existing tumors grown, but there are also signs of new tumors... quite a few, but they are still so small as to be almost imperceptible. The decision was made to take her off of the IV chemo as it wasn't doing much good (perhaps slowing the growth, but not much else). There were two options for continued chemo treatment: one drug that could possibly cause liver damage (which she already has), and a very new oral-dose drug that was just released last summer. She'll be taking the new one. The studies have shown that it is very promising and has given Stage IV patients as much as an additional year of time. It was made clear to us that this is not a cure, but is a measure to extend our time. How much time is unknown (so, nothing new there). Basically, I guess not much has changed except that we aren't going to be doing the IV chemo any more and we're pretty happy about that. The oral-dose chemo will be less hassle (no more 1+ hour drives for treatment).

Other than that, we're both working very hard at not dwelling on it and just trying to enjoy our lives as they are. So, prayers and hugs are appreciated, but no more sadz... be happy, love the ones you are with while you have them, dance in the rain, play in the snow (just don't eat it if it's yellow!), and bask in the sunlight... Today is the present and that is all that matters. It is a gift and each day should be cherished. Now go love somebody! :)

Thank you, Semiretired. :) I'll try to be more "vocal".

Okay, am "vocalizing" now. The only good thing about the colonoscopy I had was it was the most restful sleep I'd had in years. Felt wonderful when I woke up.......Asked the doc for a bottle of the stuff. Ha! :)
Like I said earlier, this will be my 5th. Not that I like em or anything but, have some health issues that woukd mask the signs of colon cancer. Being a lung cancer survivor I take no chances. I will say from experience that the worst thing about them is the prep. The actual procedure is nothing. Especially when they give you a huge shot of "I don't give a shoot."

Me too. I now have a YiHi SX Mini that I can't update because the software isn't available for a Mac. Apparently they don't use em in China and don't give a poo poo about those of us that do.

LOL! It's always okay to hug another dude, brother... and you are in our prayers, as well. I sincerely pray that the colonoscopy goes well and that nothing is found. :)

Thanks. Me too. I think it'll be ok. Be a terrible joke if I survived lung cancer with one of the earliest detections any of my doctors have ever seen only to be taken out by something up my pooper! :D Not worried. Doesn't really run in my family at all. :)

Would one of those health problems be diverticulosis? I ask because my colon looks like a vacuum cleaner hose.
