Do i get points for having been reincarnated the most times? If you are referring to Lulu's physical age....most likely, but.....if you're referring to who has been with these threads the longest of our surviving members.....that would be Uncle Willie, who has been here from the first day that Randall started them........
Older People 55 and Up
Wow, great tribute Willy.
It is hard to believe that a year has already passed. Jewels was one of my first friends on ECF. We shared a lot of guess work together to get things figured back when the choices were so limited that is and nothing worked the way you wanted it to...
It is.....but that's cuz we didn't know for quite awhile afterwards. She had her down times of course, and tended to stay away then, but the courage, dignity and grace she carried through it all was truly extraordinary and inspirational. Her faith was ever present. She's at peace now and that warms my heart. Jewels, Debbie, you may be gone from this life......but never forgotten! It is hard to believe that a year has already passed.
Since I have never disclosed my age, nor do I plan to, the Mystery That Is Who Is the Oldest Oldster (MTIWITOO) shall remain, er, a mystery .. but hey, who's counting anyway .. ?? Are we not all supposed to be Young At Heart .. ?? In fact, I look in the mirror and tell my Ticker that everyday .... not that he listens ..
It's funny how you can get attached to something .. for a good long time, this Thread in it's continued incarnations was what I would consider my Home Away From Home .. a comfortable place to put your feet up and share our stories .. a place that held great joy at times, and great loss and sadness at other times .. Sometimes, I think about those that have come and gone and I wonder what they are up to now ..
Things evolve, things change, that's life .. I'd like to take a moment and share a little about a person we lost last year, because, you see, what I feel is one of the most important things is the Digital History .. a legacy, if you will, that lives on in bits and bytes ..
I've been meaning to put this in since last month ..

Deborah Ann (Debbie) age 58, died at a local hospital on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 .. She was born on Oct. 9, 1956, in New Haven, CT .. She married her High School Sweetheart Don, in Pawtucket, RI on April 3, 1976 ..
Following graduation she worked as a long distance telephone operator, until her unique gift for creative crafting took hold. Upon arriving in Maine in 1989, she regularly attended and offered her crafts at the County Craft Show and the Fair for over 20 years. She was a member of the United Maine Craftsmen and the Society of Southern Maine Craftsmen. Although her crafts were an important part of her life, her true passion was her family. She was a member of St. John’s Church, and had spent time earlier in life fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Above all else, she lived life in each moment and practiced appreciating her loved ones every day — an example she hoped they will continue to share.
She is survived by her husband, Don, two sons, Christopher and Nicholas two daughters, Erin and Shannon, 13 grandchildren, with the 14th expected in weeks.

So, if I am able to impart anything here, it's this .. to you new folks, who most don't want to take the time to learn the rich History that we've woven since the beginning, that's OK .. but stick around and maybe, just maybe, there will be some left that remember you .. speaking as a guy that does not have a great amount of Human legacy left these days, it used to be very important to me, and I guess it still is .. why else would I still be here .. ?? It's changed, it's evolved, it's not just the older crowd anymore .. I suppose you young whippersnappers have a place, just stay off my recliner ....
So, raise a glass today for Debbie, AKA my4jewels .. Classic Margarita, on the rocks please, salt the rim and put on some Toby Keith ..
