Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Five

I hope everyone has a great time in Florida. OK, I admit I am a bit of a geek. I have always liked Star Wars ever since it first came out. Another thing I like is Legos. So it was only natural that I started combining the two. I have a nice collection of Star Wars Lego kits. I am talking the kits that have 500+ pieces. These kits usually come with a couple of the small figures in them. Over the course of collecting and putting these together, I have come up with quite a few extra figures. Today I sat down and using a clock kit from Hobby Lobby, I put together a Star Wars Lego clock. The nice thing about it is I can always swap out the figures when I want to have a different looking clock.

I love it! My son has been a Lego man since he was a mear child. My mother would buy him the big, elaborate sets and he would have them assembled in no time, without looking at the directions!

Deb, glad you arrived safely! My van is going back to the Dr (mechanic) tomorrow. It's running very rough. Sigh..

It's about a 16 hour haul for me as the crow flies, which does not include fuel stops, restroom stops, food stops, etc .. I figure around 20 hours allowing for Atlanta, which is always a crap shoot drive wise .. I'm heading to Nashville, TN on Friday, first 5 hours on the trip, if I feel up to it, I will continue on, if not, I'll visit a few friends for a couple days and turn around .. my health has not been the greatest lately, so it's really all dependent on the old bones and how much the body can take ..

I won't fly since I had planned at the get go to bring a small system with me in the truck that will convert a designated area to a Club style space .. 2000 watts, two 18" subs, two 15" subs, lasers, the whole shizzle .. if you're going to do it, you may as well do it right, right .. ?? I don't know what the noise ordinance is, but I'm sure there is some sort of cut off time ..

The one thing that continues to push me is I've wanted this for a long, long time .. and since it was my idea in the first place, I feel a deep seated need to spark this party .. it may be the last good one I have left ..

I'll need REALLY good directions as I will be driving myself.
This is a big feat for me as (iffy knows) I don't drive much
(got tangled up by a semi several years back and it just won't move out of my head).
I'd like to stay till after all the home traffic is gone.

Well, in all fairness, I can't yet say that anything is set in stone, I've got to be able to get there without a defibrillator and a spare liver .. and for months, it's been a push / pull against my own self .. my point earlier was simply to say that I'm going to try, I just can't guarantee anything .. I'm not an integral part of this shindig and I'm positive that with or without me, it will be a grand time ..

Just be extra vigilant of your body signals and don't try to push yourself....if it takes you longer to get there then so be it!!!....but, yes, it's PAR TAY time!

Oh and yes, there is an ordinance that quiet time starts at 10pm.........so we must abide by that! Shoot, some of us are just getting started by then, although I'm not one of them.

Health aside (hopefully), I remember a mutual agreement a few porches ago that at some time we'd invite ol' Jack to toast our porchers, past and current. I can guarantee he'll be attending!

BTW, locally, noise abatement kicks in at 10 PM. How many wireless headphones (fer dancing, ya know) are ya bringin'?
