Yea, it is staying North of my wife's family, but the center is going over our friends living over there (the ones that we visit in Tampa)... All prayers will be appreciated for them and the others in the country...

No sonar or infrared. But here's a flight from a year and half ago when I was still in Joisey. At about 2:40 you'll see the water I flew over and if you look closely you can see the buoyed lines in the river where the Princeton U crew teams would race. My wallet is more askeered these days of flying beyond where I can still see the drone. It gets pretty darn hard to see at about 500 feet and just about impossible beyond 1000 feet. I've flown over 2500 feet away many times but I'm much more hesitant now about doing that, having lost one drone and wrecking another that was found and returned to me 9 months after I lost it.

Must say, Dave, I am impressed......this one did not make me dizzy! Yes, very impressed!

Yes really really amazing. Never seen Happy Sunday wrote in the sky like that before.
I saw an airplane write something in the sky in over Daytona once, but it was not that clear and concise.

The FAA is part of the DOT. The proposed regulations were created by the FAA.

I must have misread what they were saying in the article. My understanding was that this was separate from what the FAA was proposing and more related to being able to track and locate those miscreants that were flying in violation of what someone thought they shouldn't be doing. In other words tracking down who owned the offending drone. They're having trouble finding out who does what when violations occur. Still having figured out how they're going to read those tiny registration (think tail #) numbers on the drones when it zooms by the commercial airliner.
