Well your prayers must have worked. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my heart. Matter of fact it's better than the last time it was checked. Blood flow is better by about 10% and the dead spot where they said I had a heart attack previously is gone. Thanks for your support in this and all things. You have no idea how much I appreciate you all. :):)
Glad to hear the good news!!! I blame vaping.

Welcome home!

I prefer leftover dinner for breakfast and breakfast foods for dinner.
...
so... you enjoy leftover breakfast for breakfast and breakfast for dinner then... since you eat breakfast at dinner, and leftover dinner for breakfast.

OK then... I was hoping not to have to say this...
On Sunday night, I was cleaning off a 3D print. the bed/raft it was printed on was not very good and it was stuck pretty bad.
I have a set of wood carving chisels. (you know where this is going, don't you?)
My hand held the piece tight, but I felt a twinge, the piece slipped down, and the chisel kept going. Right into my finger.
blood spurt in a 190° arc. (I'm still finding it to clean off of things)
Punched right into the finger, and the side fo the finger where it punched in went numb.
My parent's were visiting, and it was 12:30 am.. I woke them up and asked my dad to drive me to the hospital. That way I could keep pressure on the finger and no blood all over my car.
Not much else to say - no stiches, a finger brace to sleep with and neo-sporin and bandages...
but here it is Friday and that patch of my finger is still numb. I may have severed the nerve.
I'm praying that it will heal and I won't go about the rest of my life with a finger numb on one side, but at least I didn't lose it.
you know how you can press on the skin of your fingers, and it turns white because the blood is forced away from the skin, then you let up and the color comes right back? Mine does that, so I know I haven't damaged the blood vessels too much and will NOT lose anything.
When I'm holding it away gripping things and I extend it too far, there is a shooting pain that goes from the hole (between the first and middle knuckle) all the way to the tip UNDER the numb part, so either not all the nerves are damaged, or it's "phantom pain" as the cut end gets rubbed the wrong way. I have to wait at least 3 weeks before asking to see a hand DR if it does not come back.
yeah... not the best week for me, but not the worst either!

Man my wife still has blood in her stool. Just got the test back today. She doesn't go in for colonoscopy and endoscopy till next Thursday. We are just hoping it is something like an ulcer and not something worse. She was in the hospital while we were on vacation for a day and a half that they charged $13000 for and didn't even do one there said she was ok didn't even check to see if she still had blood in her stool. This f-n medical stuff is really messed up. They don't do what they should and way over charge you for it. Our doc only works M-W-F so guess we can't find out anything till tomorrow. We are just hoping and praying it is not cancer.

Been very busy the past 2 days taking care of Miles because he was sick,
Hope he's better already or very soon!

Well, Honeys, I'm home. I got in early this morning. I've done basically nothing all day.........OH, except to schedule my MRI. That will be done Wednesday next week. And, yeah, I was hungry, so with my backwards self, I just finished having scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast with blackberry jam at 10PM at night. :pervy:
Love breakfast for supper!!

Not much else to say - no stiches, a finger brace to sleep with and neo-sporin and bandages...

Really hope it's not nerve damage, but very very glad the injury wasn't worse! You could have done super bad stuff.

Great! But be careful, Kodak DID sue them over that!

LUCK!! :thumb:

No Kidding! My husband and I once wrote a really funny spiel for Penn and Teller, but the lawyers got on it so fast that they never were able to use it. It's now an underground work among freethinkers that can be trusted -- also since we are not receiving any money for it keeps us safe from being sued by the estate (which I dare not mention) ! :)

That's so great, Matt!

I think this picture of yesterday's runaway surveillance blimp is astounding.

Wow! I almost missed the buggy and the blimp! I keep getting lost from porch to porch something terrible! That was a near miss! Loved it!

Welcome home!

I prefer leftover dinner for breakfast and breakfast foods for dinner.

I also prefer to eat dessert before dinner instead of after. First, thinking ahead about dessert interferes with the enjoyment of dinner. And, second, desserts tend to leave me with a yucky feeling. Dinner (non-sweets) settle my stomach. Makes perfect sense, right?

Sure it does. Just like when I have cold pizza for breakfast.

Sorry to hear that. I can relate. Right now my left little finger is numb, along with half of my ring finger and half of my left hand, only I didn't stick anything in it. Hence the reason for the MRI on Wednesday. I can deal with it, as long as it doesn't start stinging and burning like it was. It does mess with my typing a little bit. I have to watch what I'm doing or I'll mess up.

I sliced off the top part of my thumb on my right hand once acting crazy slicing a tomato on a meat slicer. It healed up pretty nice, but it's still numb in that spot

We are just hoping and praying it is not cancer.

Prayers headed that way legs!!

It takes time to heal. Hopefully everything will come back with time. I must say, OUCH! Glad you won't loose the finger however.

Me too! I'd much rather have dinner for breakfast, about 2 hours or so after I'm up. Mike thought I was nuts, but he's used to it by now. We often have breakfast for dinner and that's one of Mike's favorites. Don't know about dessert before dinner though, it might kill my appetite for the main meal. Appetizers do that to me when we're out, but then that usually means I take home what I can't eat - and then I have it for breakfast the next day! Maybe I should order dessert first!

Oh Ken, that's nasty. You might be right about the nerve, but at least you didn't loose your finger! Now just be careful with it so it doesn't get infected.

Legs, hope all is well with your wife. Don't panic, there's a lot of things besides cancer that can cause blood in the stool. Got her in our prayers for a good outcome.

Ken, you should have had your safety glasses on. They protect you...

Hopefully it will come back. Maybe residual from the trauma... :nun:

Legs, thought and prayers as well. As Janet says, many things can cause that, and she was having some problems with a med that is one of those things, yes? :nun:

Good news about the heart. I have never been the same since Open Heart in 2012. Far more effect on my life then the amputations in 2007. Your lucky buddy.
