Hi to you all! I am new to the forum and was glad to see this discussion. I am "over 55" and been cig free for 11 whole days! Smoked 40 years, non-stop. Got off by using a
cigalike and am ready for more battery power, so going shopping tomorrow. Hope I can understand the kids in the
vape shop as they try to explain it all to me. I have read a bunch, and youtubed-ed a lot to try to understand what my next step should be. Also the newbie discussion here on the forum has been helpful. Going for the Ego type next, I guess......but not gonna light a cig, that's for sure!
Question: The nic level on my cigalike was 24mg. This juice is 20mg nic. Do I ingest a lot more nic with the protank, if I am vaping about the same amount of time? Sorta feels like it.....
Shoot....maybe that is why it fell apart. I did ask about returning malfunctioning things, and they said all sales final after they set it up for up in the store and you try it. Live and learn I guess.
Yup, that's how I feel (after only owning the system for 7 hours!), and why I asked. Sigh.....more living and learning! And I REALLY did watch a million vids and read a million posts and webpages before I started all this. Sigh....
Hi Liz, and welcome to the porch! We've all been at the stage you're in right now. Just remember that the mistakes or problems you're having are all part of the learning process. Vaping is a journey and the landscape keeps changing so it helps to be flexible. We all keep learning. Yep, the videos are a great help. Most people need to start with higher nic and then drop it down over time. It helps to keep some higher as well as lower nic on hand. That way if you find you're chain vaping, just use the higher nic for a bit and it'll pass. It helps to have a few devices so you don't get caught with one unworkable one with nothing to fall back on.
Hello All. I'm so far behind in here that I don't think I can catch up. Welcome newcomers. I'm way behind with that and I apologize.
I got in early Thursday morning and didn't hit the bed until 8 am, so Thursday was pretty much a wasted day.
Yesterday I went in and found out the people had been trying to reach me all week to set up a time to discuss the results of my MRI. They didn't have my cell, so I never got the message. Anyway, we'll sit down Tuesday and discuss everything, and I'll get to see the MRI and talk about treatment options. The basics, at the moment, are that I have some bulging discs in my neck. That's nothing new. They just got worse is all, and they're pressing on nerves. However, there is a new twist that I have to get with my primary physician about. There is a nodule (whatever the hell that is) on my thyroid. Right now I'm just in a blissful state of "don't give a damn".
I am in a state of horror over what happened in Paris. I can't say that I'm surprised. I'm just waiting for it to get over here. It's just a matter of time. With the administration that we have, I don't see them doing much. I could go on a rampage about that, but I won't. I do know that I'm sorely tempted to go "conceal and carry".
With your schedule, you deserve your first day home to be one of rest.
I'm really hoping that the news on Tues is good and there is some simple treatment options that will work for you. And a lot of people nodules on their thyroid that's not a big deal. Still, it needs to be checked out to make sure. You can't do anything about either problem until you have some facts and a plan so a "don't give a damn" attitude is probably the best thing right now.
I totally agree with you about the horror in France, and elsewhere for that matter.
I forgot who mentioned that aliens would probably pass our planet by - I've been saying that for years! Humans just can't seem to be grateful for all our blessings. We really haven't evolved as much as we think we have. Too many seem to wallow in greed and the desire for power so we will never get past the condition of war.
Legs, wish I'd been there at the barber shop. Could have been a disaster, but since it wasn't I got a good chuckle out of it. Just glad it wasn't me!
Cathy, Yay Geordi!! Good boy!! What a treat to know you've helped another person to get off the cigs!
Bells, those flights are amazing. Don't think I'd ever be able to maneuver a drone as well as you can. Imagine what these things are going to be like a few years from now.
It's been a pretty busy couple of days here so it took all morning to catch up. Hope I didn't forget anybody. Now to get back to my "to do" list. One chore on the list to to evaluate how much nic we've got buried in the freezer. I think we're in pretty good shape, but want to get a good handle on supplies for a good long time. Definitely going to get in some PG/VG and flavors.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
