Glad to hear you made it through unscathed. So were you without heat for 16 hours? Or did you just huddle around your attys and keep firing them to stay warm?:D
Actually it stayed warm till later in the night when the clouds all blew away and got down to 25 but the attys helped. Went to bed early figuring the power would be back by morning but it wasn't. We're lucky it's back. We have to go to town today and they got it worse then we did. It was only about 70mph here. Other places around it got up to 115. There is no climate change though.

Since I'm sure you're "Making a List and Checking it Twice" .. ;) .. I figured I'd save you a little time and just go ahead and post mine .. it's so much easier than the gift giver trying to figure out what somebody wants .. ;)

First, although I would, at this point, likely never be able to crawl in and out of it, I would at least try .. but I do promise to keep it garaged and immaculate .. I decided on a convertible since if I did crawl in and out, it would be a bit easier .. the '69 'Vette is the pinnacle of American Muscle Car

Next, I need someone to help me to get in and out of the car and perhaps do a bit of light housekeeping .. .. and she must be able to "wink" ;) (it's a personal thing, don't ask)

And, to go with that 'Vette, a guy's gotta be stylin'

So, that gives you a selection and some ideas .. or, you could just go for the Trifecta and spring for all three .. :)
Son, You have expensive taste. I love it. (she's a true hottie, exactly my type!)

hi everyone
Ahh, I see you made it Nancy. I believe you will find it's a heck of a lot more fun over here on the back porch than on the front. Pull up that comfortable rocker and a nice foot stool and join the party. Oh by the way, the recliner is Willie's and watch out for Iffy and his noisy cushions.

Worldwide, over 6000 people die every hour of every day.
So, it's a safe bet that someone died, no matter when you're talking about.
You're welcome! :vapor:
I wonder what percentage of them die from preventable things like violence, starvation and treatable diseases?

Since I am chained by Agoraphobia to the Back Porch, you're gonna have to provide at least a degree of backstory .. :)

ok, not really a lot to say. I have been vaping for almost 4 years, and remember a time when you weren't chained back here. I'm 44, my husband is 69, he is 1 year cancer free, but has other medical issues. We were homeless for a time, have an apartment now and while things are better they still suck a lot. No children living at home, but we both have grown children.

Vaping history, I started with an ego kit from volcano, then a BB from alt smoke with a vivi nova before getting into iHybrids. Then found dripping with an Empire and a 901. I have bad luck with regulated devices most dying within 2 months. Currently using a Reo mini 2.0 with an A7 mini.

Back with my little truck loaded up with lumber, paint screws, etc.
Need to get it unloaded into my shop before the rain hits.

Put one in next door, at MIL's, a few years back. While you probably don't need to be concerned about snow and ice, plywood can get pretty slippery when just wet. I covered hers with roofing shingles. Great traction. Not too spendy.

Thank you .. although I am rendered speechless regarding your scenario and will hope that things continue to improve for you and yours ..

They have gotten a lot better, and the fact he has been cancer free for a year is a major blessing.

It was his second round with mouth cancer, so there wasn't many treatment options this go around, but so far it looks like the surgery was enough.

Well, if it's any degree of consolation and a source of strength when needed, you have a great bunch here on the old Back Porch that are always willing to listen .. and we can sometimes provide a laugh or two, which is equally important, IMO ..
