Y'all did not stock up for the light bulb apoclypse?
I bought a few cases of 60 and 100 watt bulbs on clearance.
Used a few of the 60's not even opened the 100's.
Eye DID! :D
I actually also got a half dozen 15w led's for the cellar. When I really have to find something I have to remember to bring a flashlight. :(

Sports are broadcast over the internet too, and I like my local news from the respective websites because the stories actually get updated without activating the emergency broadcast system, lol. We have an antenna but its laying behind the shed. You can have showtime too if you want to pay for it,lol.

Deb. I'm not sure about the led blubz. I think that was only the older "twisty" fluorescent lite blubz that had arsenic (or a facsimile thereof) in them.

My workshop has 8' fluorescents .. you can't get them inside a curb trash can, so when I replaced them, I just saved them up till I had several and then busted them up with a hammer inside the trash can .. no breathing protection, nothing .. probably went on for 20 years .. I'm now guessing I must have built up my arsenic immunity over the years .. :)

I looked up that stuff Robert was talkin about, and the "net" says the LED bulbs have it in em. One study was from California, and of course they went nutso saying you need a hazmat suit if ya break one lol but like I said, it also said the incandescents had high levels of lead and mercury......who knew! So I'm wondering if it is something to be concerned about or not so much.

I'll have to check into this. I do have a roku 3 (or will when I get it back from my sil, I told her she could hold it ransom til I give my nephew his laptop back) lol

I bulb prepped a lil'. A case of 60s. Went though 'bout half of 'em and then decided to go LED. Bought several packages of LE 10W/60W and just a couple of Philips 15W/100W on sale at Amazon. Luv 'em...

I'm now on a crusade to have my fishing/boating buddies switch over to LEDs on their boats. Used to be a VERY expensive conversion, not so much nowadays. Makes a hellava diff on batt current draw!

Too true and I've been pretty satisfied with the LED I've been buying. Specially the GEs I've been getting lately. Only 60 watt equivalent but seem nice and bright for a reading lamp.

I believe it's 15w = 100w. But VERY hard to find.
I have a few floods in the back yard and for me they work very well. Just haven't found anywhere in the house they'd (15w) be useful.

Don't know how you guys read w/ just a 60 watt (old school bulbs). We use 100 watt bulbs in our reading / table lamps. Anything less just seems to dim for us.

Yepper ... Janet stocked up on bunches and bunches of 60's and 100's. But we should have gotten even more of the 100's. For us ... rarely use the 60's. hmmm? Maybe we can wheel and deal and trade 100's for 60's.

In order to save money on 3 way Antique Bulbs, I use 100 watt and these :
