Well I live in the dark... too many bright things - my eyes hurt. Being outside doesn't impact me much because I have transition lenses in my glasses plus... I wear hats. Lots and lots of hats to cover up that balding area on my head. But yeah, that's why I have the brightness turned down on my computer screen. Keeps the screen from further tampering with my sensitive eyesight.
The yellow face, it hurts us precious.

THAT explains why you joined us on the porches!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Yeah... maybe, hell... I don't know.

@therussellv yeah, sometimes that picture hurts my face too... from laughing. But the overall picture when the brightness is cranked to max - burns the optic nerve right off the back of my eyeballs.

?

If you mean where it's set, scroll all the way down the page, bottom left it will say ECF or whatever skin you've chosen. Not real intuitive to find.... :(

Well, I just got here and the whole screen looked like it went from what I'd call HD widesreen to standard narrow screen...didn't like it one bit...and I never changed nothing:confused:

I'm glad you explained how to change it back!!!

I had to replace the cutoff valve for the toilet in the master bath today. Apparently it's been dripping for years. The drywall where the wall behind the toilet meets the corner near the shower is so water damaged that I actually thought the roof was leaking down the vent stack, not so. Not the shower either, hasn't been used in at least 3 years. Question I have is even with plenty of room, why do the tuck the darn toilet so far back against the wall that the tank lid doesn't even fit and so tight to the side wall that you have to practically stand on your head to get at it. So close that the tools needed to do the job hardly fit. Anyway, saved myself another couple hunnert bucks. While I was at it, I replaced the connection hose to the float valve and put in a new float valve and flapper. Works like brand new now. De plumber would have charged at least $200.00.took me less than a hour. :)

he, he ... we folks do chat a bunch. Since April 21, 2012 through Jan 4, 2015 @3:40pm Eastern time we made 63,895 posts. And this is just the 4 incarnations of the back porch.

Semi- ... I'll let you figure out the average posts per day. It's beyond my pay grade.

Ok - how many have read all 63,895 posts?

A happy birthday to Iffy!

And I think those toilet shutoff valves only come in chrome. Or plastic if you live in manufactured housing.
Point being, they only work once. Maybe. Shut em off. Maybe ok. Turn it back on... if they don't leak, gotta be a miracle. I always replaced them with gate valves.

All they sell now are 90 deg turn ball valves. The old multi turn ones are junk and WILL leak if you shut them off and they have been there several years. The 90 deg ones last much better.

I've always found the ball valves seep. Good nuff to shut off and change something but could be fun if you have to solder. Nuthin works like a gate valve.

You remove the workiig guts of the valve if you solder on it.
No, I mean if you have to solder something down the line. Nuff water seeping thru to make it a PITA. Gate is positive shut off. 20 years later. Ball is good. Gate is better. By muchly. IMO of course.
