i rarely (if even ever) wish happy birthday to anyone. (and i'm usually at least a day late)

mainly because i stopped (cough) having birthdays several years ago

but, hell, for the love of lightbulbs, it's all about Iffy

and, of course, it's about...

happy birthday, Iffy

:)

Where did he get them she says she is willing to try anything. Shes lucky she only has it on her left heel.

We got ours at REI, but I think they're available in other places. The foot doc recommended them. They're called Superfeet not Smartfeet. If you have a military base near you that's probably the cheapest place to get them. I'd wear them in both shoes, not just the foot having the problem.

Google "Air Heal Brace", when mine flared up I wore one of these for a month and took large doses of Tylenol. The doc said this was to allow the inflammation to subside.

The brace has a 'bubble' of air under the arch of the foot and forces the foot back into a natural position.

Then I started using these in my shoes. Superfeet insoles are meant to replace the insoles of your shoes. They're very firm. Don't use gel insoles, they don't work for plantar fasciitis. The foot needs a firm support not a soft support. My son explained it this way - is it easier to walk barefoot on a firm surface or along the beach in soft sand. Made sense to me.

If the insoles of your shoes aren't removable, these come in thinner thickness too (I think 3 thicknesses are available). Some outdoor shops like EMS and REI have them available so you can try them in your shoes before buying - they ain't cheap.
