Or 1980. A la mode: with ice cream?Classy looking place. Very French. I could almost see it populated with people dressed a la mode de 1890.

Yep. Always makes me shake my head when I see advertisements for medications followed by long lists of horrible side effects/precautions. Those medications are not on the market unless they're FDA approved.
Oh Matt, sorry your knee is hurt! Yep, RICE is the temporary treatment and if it gets worse, then to the doctor's you go!Well I've done something to my right knee. Must have twisted wrong or something. Doesn't hurt all the time but, hurts enough to get me hollering when it does. When it's not burning and throbbing under and around my kneecap it just seems to ache all the way to my ankle. Took a kicker pain pill for breakthrough pain and hoping it will kick in soon. I'm laying down but am afraid to move it much. Just did a little while ago and it was a big mistake.
Heh - I just pulled up all the weeds (grass growing in the flower beds) and trimmed off dead flower heads. easy enough to do... just takes a lot out of you. It only took between yesterday and today for the lizards to discover that I have provided them with nice perches to do their macho pushups on.
What a day! I was up and at 'em early this morning, stripping the bed, scrubbing floors, mopping the kitchen floor and everything else in between.
Then I had the nerve to go out with my daughter to a dance. Gawd, I hate going to a dance and can't get a man to dance with ya for nothing!! So, I danced with my daughter. We just put slow dances off limits.I should have taken pictures though, because the dance hall was on the other side of the levee from the Atchafalaya Swamp. You can tell there's some history in that building. It sits on Bayou Teche, and on the other side of the levee is the swamp. This link shows a picture of the dance hall itself. Atchafalaya It's a restaurant, inn, AND dance hall. Atchafalaya Club Henderson | Pat's Fisherman's Wharf Restaurant - Henderson, LA | (337) 228-7512
Went back to her place and watched a movie. Today let me know I'm not dead yet.![]()
That bar is awesome! I'd bet the food is killer, too!Boy, boy, boy, Matt, you and knees just don't get along at all, do ya? I hope it stops aching ya soon!!

I LOVE Louisiana! I just wish I had more opportunity to go there. Have never been to NO, but it's on my bucket list. I'm such a history buff, especially love seeing anything that is original to it's time. LA has done a fantastic job of preserving history from the biginning. So, how was it? They weren't playing zydeco music tonight. Whoever was up there was playing oldies but goodies. It was nice all the same. Let me tell you, Cher. Pats is on da Bayou for real!!
Cold Ranch Chicken PastaWelcome back! Maybe you should point out that there's NO smoke and maybe show her some articles about the benefits of nicotine.

Recipe please???
Ice packs since yesterday. Seem to be helping. Don't have any ace bandages but, I do have some really tight neoprene knee braces, using them. Not much improvement there.Oh my... ice packs , friend....and wrap some ACE bandage please....
Yep. All three braces of differing holding ability. The aluminum hinged one just makes it hurt worse but, I think it's because it's trying to move my kneecap around and it doesn't like it! The neoprene pressure braces seen to help a little. Ice helps a lot but, doesn't last. Doree insists I stay off my feet so that's what I'm doing.Ouch! Sorry this is happening, Matt. Take care, stay off it, let it rest. Did you bring your brace?
Oh don't worry I will.Matt, Kay got it right. RICE-rest, ice, compression and elevation. Ice on the knee, elevate it and an ace bandage or a brace might help. And rest, don't push it. Hopefully it will get better and you can hold off the medical attention. But if necessary, get medical attention. Please.

I did mention they were hidden?

Just the pressure alone from those should increase the circulation & speed up healing.Ice packs since yesterday. Seem to be helping. Don't have any ace bandages but, I do have some really tight neoprene knee braces, using them. Not much improvement there.
Heat aggravates swelling, since more blood reaches the area. Ice at first to reduce swelling, then heat for comfort and more blood flow for healing. At some point you're supposed to switch from ice to heat, like after 12 or 24 hours or after the swelling goes down? Not going to look it up, rather talk it out here.
