We had sliced pit beef, beans and mac and cheese. That beef was pretty darn good. But last night my birthday dinner was cream of crab soup, crab dip and crab cakes. We are in Maryland, jist oitside Baltimore. Delish! Tomorrow a stop in Virginny overnight (and a fave rib place in Roanoak), then on to Atlanta for a week. No special food there, but then home for good cookin on the grill! Except for a week in Orlando in December for the big Eukanuba dog show, I will be sleeping in my own bed until late February. Hubby will do some travel but I will stay near home and do local shows. YEA!

Man this upgrade for the SXM coming out next week sounds like it's going to take some learning. You are going to be able to set the TCR with the decimal pt and 0's like.000035 plus it will have a temp offset setting so you'll be able to use any wire you want probably even plutonium. LOL Should be something. I suppose I'll get all this loaded in and the chip will go TU. So you'll be able to use the NiFe and Resistherm whatever that is.
Sounds pretty techy but fascinating. Interested in hearing how well it works.

That building is the main building at the retirement village where Dad lived, and where my stepmom still does. It was really cold outside that day in January 2014, but it's a lot more fun to fly a quad copter than it is to watch somebody else flying one. My record number of spectators was about seven, and that included the cops in the two police cars that arrived after someone called to report a UFO.

Haha! Bet they wanted one too!

But why would you want to set the TCR to .000035? Will it cause you to grow more hair?

Darn! I knew your birthday was coming on Saturday and then I forgot all about it!! Duh! Well, it sounds like you ate well! Hope it was a great day for you, but I've heard that "some people" stretch out their birthday for a whole week... sounded like a very good idea.

No, but thicker hair

TCR stands for Temperature Coefficient of Resistance, and "describes" how the wire resistance will change with a specific temperature change. A needed number for each type of wire.

i'm so jealous... went to a vegetarian restaurant for breakfast/lunch, thanks to my vegetarian daughter. blecch...

dinner will have to wait til the 49ers game is over.

ok... the 49ers lost. so i had a "hairshirt" dinner of cold leftover pizza.

now, i normally love cold pizza-- it got me thru college and most of my youth. but this was cold cheese pizza, thanks to my vegetarian daughter.

personally, i think there is a special place in hell reserved for people who make or order pizza without pepperoni...

:)

Most places will make a "half & half" pizza. Cheese for her and the works for you. No need to suffer on her account!

unfortunately, Matt, this was Baby Caesar's pizza.

i don't think they actually "make" anything. it might even be 3D printed...

Sounds unnecessarily overcomplicated to me. If you can program the TCR into the mod, why is it necessary to also be able to program a temperature offset? Until I know better, I maintain that any TC mod can be used with any type of wire. I have a Cloupor GT, which doesn't even show wire type on the display. You set the temperature and you can set the joules if you want to but there's also an "auto" mode that works great that sets the joules automatically. I'm using the same titanium coil for about 2 weeks now and it's my go-to setup at this time. I will have to rewick it soon because it's starting to get a little sputtery but the vapor output is still great.

Not for the US right now, looks like. €525, including VAT!
Good news is you don't pay the VAT for something that's shipped to a country outside the EU.

Sorry to hear your team lost. In totally unrelated news, ;-) my NY Giants won!

Ooh, a special place for me in the "no pepperoni, thanks" wing, with reservations!
