Been watching the Black Friday madness on the TV - sure am glad I am at home safe in my recliner vaping away - they can have it... Have not gone out on Black Friday for a few years now and nope I do not miss it...

We've gone out regularly the last bunch of years on Black Friday. Drive all of about 1 1/2 miles to a local tree farm. But a Christmas tree, then come back home.
I have absolutely no desire to go shopping on Black Friday. Did it once years ago - never again. Those shoppers are nuts! I don't handle crowds well to begin with there isn't a sale imaginable that is worth all the rudeness and waiting in lines. When my kids were babies I worked in Sears for the holidays as a "floater" in various departments. NEVER AGAIN! Mostly it was awful. My daughter loves it though.
Yesterday on our hour drive to dinner the store parking lots were empty. The turnpike was pretty crowded, but at least it moved along well. Coming home at 7:30 the traffic was definitely way more crowded and the store parking lots we passed were full. For all the talk about T-day being a day to spend with family I don't think shopping was the intended activity.

Is that an alarming trend that's going on .. ?? I know the stats say sales are down about 30% from the peak overall ..
I wish I had decided to go into the HO earlier yesterday so I could have seen your smile ..
