For some time now, I've wondered if ECF has been in a decline since it's heyday .. so today, being a somewhat lazy day for me, I took the time to check into it .. for the Data freaks and what not, just what I thought to be an interesting stat .. the chart shows the ranking of ECF usage Globally, as a Website

The higher the number, the lower the ranking, in this case .. so it has been a declining trend over the last year or so .. useless information, I know .. just thought it was interesting ..

The numbers on the left side seem to indicate greatly increasing use of ECF over the past year. One of us is reading the graph wrong. Well dang, I didn't read your last paragraph.

However, the chart as you describe doesn't really say anything about the actual amount of use of the site, it only ranks the website in comparison to other websites. That would be important if I was an advertiser but doesn't tell me how many daily users there are.

I wonder if it has anything to do with people finding just what they like and not looking for better. Or like PB said when he was on his last cruise he was sitting in a smoking section in the casino next to a smoker and she waved her hand around to get the vapor out while smoking a cigarette and said oh your one of those.

Maybe bells is right there is more interest. Seems like a lot of people are listening to all the crap they are putting out. I used the they word but. Plus I think the advancements have slowed some. When they first came out with TC it was a big deal but now it's not. Some of the threads I go to are lucky to have 1or2 posts and they used to have pages. IDK Willie. What does the number on the right mean.

I don't think it is a measure of declining interest in vaping. There are more sites (and less rigorously moderated ones) in competition. I prefer to be here, although I do go to another just for further info on mechs and rta's. One, in particular, started a year ago. A lot of discontents from here have populated that one.

Which one, I look at Planet of the Vapes and thats about it really. Some have gone to Bent Dreams but the name has changed. I went there a few times and it was very slow. I know some that went there because they got tired of getting harassed on here by people who didn't like what they had to say.

I don't know about the stats on PV users / market growth, etc .. I read an article a while back that claimed sales of hardware and liquid was down 30% from the peak and I have no idea if that is accurate or not .. could just be, as Pat said, people found what they liked and that's it ..

Pat, the numbers on the left of the chart mean the ranking in activity .. the lower the number, IOW, the higher the ranking .. IOW, ECF has gone from being ranked the 10,000th most visited site to around the 16,000th most visited site .. clear as mud, huh .. ??

I have no idea whatsoever whether vaping sales are up or down. I have an analytical mind and was questioning whether the data was useful for making such a determination, that's all. In the 33 months that I've been vaping, prices have declined, so if we're talking about a 30% decrease in sales, I'd want to know whether that was quantity or gross receipts that we're talking about. I'd like to know but I'd need to know what it is that I know.

Maybe people just stocked up like me. I don't really have anything I need any more. I have extras of everything. I like to look but they aren't coming out with anything mind blowing. For the SX people the M now the ML with software but doesn't do anything the M doesn't just a little faster processor, so what I can wait a couple extra milli seconds. The DNA200 which everybody and his brother is making one. A lot which are junk. Old PB is a fanboy of a new one out that is aimed for the smoker to quit smoking which is the Innokin Endura that is just a simple battery and modern carto tank with no controls. Stays at 14w with a 1.5 cartomizer that is supposed to give you a good vape without messing around and only $30. Every body has a subtank out which I still think the Kanger is the best. They get it right then they change it a little. Now they have changed the air control but you can still make it do what you want. I thought it was perfect before this one is OK but different.
