Just returned from the 4th grade Holiday concert.....music by their little orchestra,,,,,,their little band.....followed by all of them being joined by yet more children to form the chorus. Traditional Christmas songs, Hanukkah songs, and more.....but the highlight of the evening.....and the finale ....the lights were turned way down.....and this song was done...:wub::wub::wub:

Yes !!! I'm a dreamer......wouldn't it be wonderful if more would have the same dream.....:)

Glad it went well, I imagine tears were flowing freely. I love performances by the kids!

Dave, having a bit of a rebellious streak in me, after your drone experiences, what would ya recommend today? Got a week to duck da mandatory registration. Besides haven't splurged in $elf indulgence a quite a while...
Well, yes, you can avoid having to have the registration before you fly for the first time, but even existing owners are technically required to register their drones by Feb something next year. It's going to be free for the first 30 days. I'm going to register mine; don't feel that the requirement is unreasonable.

Anyway, my recommendation is any of the DJI Phantom 3 models.

Your best vid to date! Great job on da soundtrack.

Is dat open area a recreation park near ya?
Thanks. Don't know the open area of which you speak but there are no public lands within flying distance. This be the sticks.

Ditto here. But gonna have to rely on ya fer proper care, feeding and maintenance info!
No problems. Other than running them as duals. LOL. I once saw a post where someone had been told on another board that there was only one person who had gotten Orchids figured out as singles, was trying to find me.

Two record-setting days in a row. 3.13 inches of rain total in La Crosse. I have not been out and about, but the smaller rivers around here are flooding. Are we headed to a flood on the Mississippi? IN DECEMBER?

That moment when you are pulling a roast out of the crock pot and pull out the garlic cloves and pop one in your mouth, yummy

Last stinkie 10/15/2013
yummmmmmm love roasted garlic. if I make a bulb for a recipe, I have to roast two of em, cuz I'll eat one entire bulb.

VAPEMAIL!!

I went over early and got the batteries for the P 2.5, popped them in the charger.

Then almost as soon as the PO opened, went over and got my other two packages.

Opened the package with the four orchids, and put them to soak. Faint hint of machine oil. Nice little plastic boxes for spare screws and o-rings. Some tootling driptips still en route.

THEN I opened the package from bells. SURPRISE! Two bottles of flavoring, nectarine and green apple. Will enjoy them so much. Got the Provari, and it vapes fine without accessing the menu. Haven't given him a name-- what goes with Binky and Num-Num? I have a name for him, but it is secret-- in the theme of little white guy. And, of course, plenty of bubble-wrap which I will use for my little nic bottles when I break down the big one. Thank you for the gifts, bells.

Now, on to rinsing off the Orchids and setting them up.
I'd rather make fun of the Provarinati. No offense, but I do like it!!
But, you ARE one now!

Congrats! I'm so happy for you!

Bells, that was a wonderful thing you did.

There's not one performance by our younglins' that doesn't cause misty eyes. They have so much before 'em! Hopefully we have excelled in our efforts to prepared them to 'carry on'.

Innocence is so pure and vulnerable!

Thanx for recommendation! I knew it would be expensive to scratch da itch.

After a replay, i must have thought da horse ranch road/open area was a public area (you on da road/drive). Must add that your approach up to da tree and adjustment was impressive; that and da 'back off/reverse' footage.

As fer registration, just fine or prosecute me if I do something wrong. Don't apply a pre-penalty! Pizzes me ophph to da max...

At least I know where to find ya! And, noper, not even want to consider duals...

I received my order of 6 V4s and 3 V5s today. I may be hittin' ya up if I have problems! Won't get to building them for awhile, too much wo.. (nasty 4 letter word that ends with "rk"), but I am looking forward to the challenge! I don't care for dual coils, so single they will be! Whatever it takes. I am comfortable building my Kayfuns and little Kanger bottom coils, so I might be fine. But if I have problems, nice to know I have an experienced friend nearby. ;)

Yeah, those are the kind of maneuvers where the Law Of Compounded Errors used to prevail with greater frequency than it does now. (No, the OTHER left... uh-oh!).

In the video I was standing on my path next to that magnolia, which was a 7' tall sprig when I planted it 13 years ago. Not impressive growth in 13 years but the soil is pretty poor there.

Do any of you have the same problem I have with doctor and hospital bills and they pile up then the insurance coverage statements start to come in and there is so many different pieces of paper you don't know what to do with it. Let alone figure out what has been paid and what has not. Plus trying to keep track of the out of pocket expenses for the IRS. Now I get a letter from UHC saying they need our SSN to report it to the IRS. They have them a lot of times when I call them they bring up our acct by that number. I don't know how people who are not computer saavy get along. I can bring it all up on the computer. Its just crazy. I have a box with just health stuff in it.

It's all really confusing and it's a full time job to keep track of everything. Without someone who is familiar with it all you just have to resign yourself to dedicating a chunk of time to match things up. I'm always suspicious of the itemized list of costs. I think they inject stuff in there that you haven't had so you have to watch and call them and question any charges you don't think apply. Ugh! It's a chore, but if you can get into it, it should start to make sense to you. Just keep yours and Ginny's stuff separate. I feel for you. Years ago I had to do it for several people and, especially when you start to get it organized it's overwhelming. Stick with it though and it'll come together. I know it'll come together for you.

My neighbor's horses had trouble deciding whether they more curious or more afraid.

Dave, that was by far, the most enjoyable video yet! Took a break from Christmas projects, and it was the perfect relaxing respite I needed!
Music was excellent!

We brushed on the subject of height in the other thread, which prompts me to expound a tad.

I'm 6'4, very tall for my generation but today that would just be tall. Many years ago I came up with a good response when someone would say "my, you're tall!" I'd say "well, my mom didn't use enough shortening in her cooking". Badabump. The truth is that my mom used enough shortening that for a while, I was close to being as wide as I was tall.

Back in junior high school, some of my closer-to-the-ground friends established The Little Persons Club. They granted me an honorary membership. The charter members took their club seriously, and two of them (both dear friends) questioned my commitment and criticized me for failing to attend the meetings. One threatened me with expulsion. Unfortunately I didn't care, so they kept me in.
On my mothers side of the family, I am the shortest male at 6' 2". My uncle, her brother, is 6' 8". He always told the story of being in an elevator in St. Louis and a little ol' lady got in with him, he said she came up to about his belt buckle. He looks down at her and she asked him how tall he was. Being the smart *** I have always known him to be, he tells her, "Oh, I'm 5 foot 20. She stepped back, cocked her head and told him, "Hmm, I would have sworn you were at least 6 foot tall". At least, I know what side of the family I get my sarcasm from.

But... but... der ain't no meet! :(
That is precisely the same complaint that my stomach raised about 15 minutes ago. I resolved the grievance with a medium slice of good deli turkey on a club roll with a slice of tomato, twice.
