It wasn't bad, really Janet....the phone's fine and even if it was ruined...it's only a Tracphone and I seldom use it....I'm still living in the dark ages!!!!
I once lost a tracphone and replaced it. They transferred the airtime - once I tracked down who to call. I got one that doubled airtime, so every year, I buy 400 minutes and receive 800 minutes and another year of activation. I've got thousands of minutes sitting around, but there's too many miles between nothing and nowhere around here not to have communication. Thanks to oilfield activity, there's pretty good coverage in the NW part of New Mexico.

I heard the same from respectable people and paid the price for the xtar VP1. It's been good to me, even reviving a totally IMR 18490.

Hint: If you put away a Provari for half a year or more, remove the battery. The device will allow it to go totally dead.
Totally dead is not good. Taking the batteries out of anything bfore putting it away is a good idea. The alkalines will leak given enought time. I had a really nice camera ruined that way. Thought me a lesson. I still occasionally forget but not on anything expensive. Normal, justboutbof curiosity, could you charge them back up or did you not even try.

Oh no! Well, that was the last bad thing to happen to you in 2015! Did you have the insurance on the cell phone? We arrived in CA once and our daughter-in-law had a bottle of water in her purse that spilled and ruined her cell phone. They over-nighted her a new one! Our phones back-up to our iTunes on our computer so the info can be replaced on the phone. Man, I'd be totally lost if anything happened to my phone. I'd be running around screaming like some teenybopper!
No days there really is no excuse to lose data when a cell phone dies or in some cases, is killed. :) Ours back up to the cloud several different ways. Nice thing is, if it's an android phone and your backing up using the various Google backup methods, most everything restores pretty much automatically when the new phone is logged into you google account. Pictures, music, data, messages and everything. Sure is a lot different than even a few years ago, hell a few months ago!

Good advice Matt I did the same thing with a camcorder. I am ordering the Xtar I think it is the VP4 with the digital readout. A little more money but heard they last forever.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! Love the bunch of you a whole lot. Finding the forum and especially this thread has been one of the greatest thing to happen to me over the last few years. I apologize for not making the HO last night. Make up a bunch of excuses but really only two. Using the cell phone makes it pretty much a pain in the ... and I was flat plain tired and went to bed early like always. Here's hoping and praying for a great year for all of us and maybe, just maybe, the Gubmint will come to it's senses before it's too late. Again…
HAPPY NEW YEAR and LOVE TO ALL. :):banana::yawn::banana:
