It has been quite a while, and I've missed visiting with y'all... but most of my computer time, besides work, has been consumed with the Wonderful World of Drones!

Last April, I bought my first Quadcopter (drone), a DJI Phantom 3 Standard. In July, I bought another one, a Phantom 3 Pro.

Since then, all my spare time (and some that I didn't need to spare) has been spent feverishly studying, flying, practicing video moves, shopping video editing software and, the hardest part for me, learning to edit videos, etc.

Just today, I finished my first (barely) presentable video, created a youtube channel, and - HERE IT IS

IMO, it's terrible, but... gotta start somewhere

That video is not terrible at all! Yes, learning the video software is the hardest part. Your neighborhood is remarkably similar to mine. Great job!

I love spring forward with the time changes - I get an extra hour of sleep, but would like to skip the fall back time change - it takes me a couple of days to adjust. Hmmm, but if we did that - wouldn't we be rushing ourselves to old age over time... o_O

...You're totally confused....you lose an hour of sleep in the spring when you move the clock forward...;)

I thought we were - well at least most of us that is...

Spring ahead is harder on me than fall back. At least this year we were home so I actually got that "extra hour". Saturday to bed at 11 (12), up at 7 (8). This morning hit the road (to Louisville), but I still got my needed sleep (yea, I napped while DH drove, he napped while I drove). When on the road and "loosing" an hour it is much harder.

I know you've "been there, done that" so - Thanks Dave!

On the video editing issue, my breakthrough came last week when I got a new tablet... a 32gb. Huawei MediaPad M3 8.4... this thing is fast, has lots of storage, easy to network into my server, and basic video editing apps are aplenty!

On my old laptop, it once took almost 2.5 hours to 'render' an 8 minute 1080p video... on this tablet, this morning, it took less than five MINUTES to render a 3.5 minute 1080p!

I'm using it right now, with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and already use it almost exclusively for everything except long-term storage... do I LIKE it?... meh... ;)
