Well, Iffy, glad you updated us on your goings on!

I've been posting rather inconsistently myself.

One update from me is that my 2nd go round of toe surgery was a success.
Peter is having his other cataract surgery tomorrow.
Daughter and sil are living with us while in transition mode. We need them as much as they need us, so it is a win/win situation.

Well bad news about Ginny. The doc just called me and said to expect her home feeling bad. When I asked why they said she has a mass on her left lung and a spot on her liver. and it looks like Cancer. Needless to say this is bad, she has to be on oxygen 24/7 and going to get in with a lung specialist next week. I don't know what we are going to do. This is not what we were hoping to hear. I'm really shook up right now so will talk later. Waiting for her to get home.

Oh Pat, I was so sorry to read this! Prayers and good thoughts for Ginny and you! :nun:

{{{{{Patrick and Ginny}}}}}, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I guess by now she's home and the two of you are in a pow wow about all the details. Give yourself some time to let them marinate and then get your game on and find out all the options. Second opinions can help with that and please try to hold onto a positive outlook. There's a lot of new treatments these days. In the meantime please know that you're both in my prayers.

Dang, Legs, that's not good. As said, don't despair, check out what options are available, might all be fixable. :nun:

Well I read the radiologist report and it doesn't sound good. She has a couple of bad lymph nodes also one with a mass that maybe touching the other mass in her lower right lung. She fell asleep in her chair and her cheeks were getting almost crimson so I woke her up. Took her oxygen and it was 65. I guess when she lays down the mass hits her ribs. The oxygen people didn't call today but the pulmonologist who our doctor knows and is supposed to be excellent. She put in the word with him and normally it takes a couple of months to see him, she is going in Wednesday and if he decides on a biopsy that will happen Thursday. I know they can remove that part of the lung but we need to get the oxygen going. Will email our doc and let her know. She only works m, w, and f. She also takes over a month to get an appointment but the same day she got her CT she got her in. She's older and well thought of in the medical community so she has doctor friends in high places which will help. I see Medicare covers oxygen and also oxygen concentrators when the doc fills out all the paper work is correct which she does on her days off and really makes sure it is done correctly, need to get it going tho.

Nice to hear your not struggling with doctors, you have enough on your plate without worrying about having good doctors in your corner.

Congratulations Iffy on your 7th and 49th!! I'm not sure why you got a new doc for Patty, but having a fresh look is a good idea. Have you tried the TENs for your back? Sorry to hear it's still giving you fits. Prayers and positive vibes continue for both of you.

I'm glad you know what to do for her, & how to get it all done. That has to be reassuring for her.

When you have a sense of direction like mine, GPS navigation is the greatest time-saving and frustration-saving invention of all time.

If my GPS should ever become inoperative, I have a back-up system on my keychain. I haven't had to test it yet.

Well we are sitting here waiting for the oxygen people to call. They needed a couple more papers submitted and they will get it out today. She needs is bad. Her headaches are really hurting. She fell asleep in her chair yesterday and when her cheeks get red I wake her up. Her O2 was 65. She doesn't feel like she is getting any sleep. They called to get her pre registered at the hospital we assume for a biopsy. Don't really know they just said for appointment on the 30th. This thing must be getting worse fast because she is getting worse everyday.

I am so scared about this. I don't know what I'd do without her. Shes been my rock for so long. Don't know why this had to happen to us now.
