I had hopes a couple of years ago for getting into a stem cell trial for RA. They rejected me without saying why. [emoji850]

Actually, I first heard of the umbilical SC treatment from a late-50ish acquaintance that had the treatment last fall for RA (so did her sister). Her improvements have been very dramatic!

Must share an event I attended today. Due to my deteriorating back/hips issue, I attended a stem cell seminar this mid-day.

What an eye opening and encouraging experience! As a result of the shared documented info, I have an appointment for an evaluation tomorrow. Chances are very good that I will elect to receive a treatment. If that works to my benefit, I'll have Patty's situation evaluated. And if that proves to also be beneficial, our eldest daughter will also be evaluated.

BTW, I recently had a cortisone injection for my right hip. It's helped somewhat, but will need more in the near future to manage my overall major discomfort. Ergo, hoping that the umbilical stem cell treatment will eliminate that need.

$ide note: $ince cell$ can not be patented, Big Pharma i$ NOT plea$ed at all with this po$$ible life changing alternative treatment; no mo' opioid$, steroid$ and da like (I hope)!

Will keep y'all posted as to my progress...

Best wishes for a positive outcome Iffy. Sorry to hear what you-all are going through.

This is the latest - Ranger (blue boy) went on his way to his new home today in Illinois, south of Chicago, to the town next to where I grew up (he will live in Homewood, I grew up in Flossmoor). His new owner and I went to the same high school (although not at the same time)!!! He will have a wonderful life with a lovely couple who love to camp and explore.

Fingers crossed that it works for you and then the rest of your family!!

I hope this goes thru for you! I had hopes a couple of years ago for getting into a stem cell trial for RA. They rejected me without saying why. [emoji850]

It doesn't seem right that they wouldn't tell you why you were rejected. It might not have meant that it wouldn't work for you, just that you didn't meet the parameters they had set for the trial. Medical changes are happening quickly these days. Maybe you could try again?

Well it never ends. I’m still in nursing home. Give got up this morning came downstairs and fell on lr floor. Very confused. She’s at the hospital now and they’re trying to figure out what is wrong. I don’t know what we are going to do now. Gd leaves Friday.

Awww, did he just gets some shots or did he just catch something? Our little grandson just had the flu and it was so sad to see him not even want to get off the couch. I hope your little guy feels better quickly.

I wish I could get it. And I wish I knew why I was declined for the clinical trial.

I probably didn't meet the parameters.

Well here’s more in the darkened world that is mine. Ginny is home. I’m in the same hole still. They won’t let me go unless it is against medical advice even though this might be the last days for Ginny. I hate thinking about this but it is a real possibility. So I’m screwed. Can’t leave to even see her. She can’t walk. I was ready to go and they threw this load on me. Ginny has a new small lesion on her brain. They want to hit that spot with the Cyberknife. I don’t know what to do. I know I need some heavy duty vaping. We have a plan in place till next Friday. I have no say in anything. Relatives are trying to get us to move. I don’t know what I want to do and I can’t even see Ginny. I’m pretty depressed about everything and I don’t like feeling like this. Alyssa just got back to the house so we’ll see what kind of damage was done.

{{{{Patrick}}}} Good grief. It's a good thing Alyssa is there, but isn't she supposed to leave soon? Listen to your family and see about moving so you'll both be safer. You're very lucky to have family who care, listen to them and let them help!

Any idea when they think you'll be ready to go home? What's happening on the sodium front? I'm assuming you've talked to the doc about your need to go home and I'm sure they understand about that so if they're saying they don't want you to leave yet there must be a good reason.

Is there someone to stay with Ginny or is she going to be transferred somewhere?

I feel like I'm really being nosey so feel free to tell me to shut up. I'm just really concerned about you both.

A few months ago my desk chair started losing the pressure to remain in the up position. At the time I cut a plastic tube to keep the assembly in the up position. Well, the plastic tube didn't last very long and broke apart. Today I went to the shop and cut a 1 inch PVC pipe to the proper length. I don't think it will break anytime soon. However, if it does I still have 20 inches of pipe left over.
