Good morning everyone. I don't have any talents artistic or otherwise, but do have lots of interest in different things. Cooking, gardening and reading among them. I greatly appreciate the talents of other people.

Has anyone seen the Forged in Fire show? It's amazing. People make knives out of different metals from cars, ball bearings, golf clubs etc. Then the 2 best contestants make an historic sword back at their home forges and they're tested for strength and sharpness. It's fascinating.

You have no idea how close I came to hitting that big, red "disagree" X...;) You have a beautiful yard and garden...you're a fantastic cook and ...I've seen your lovely home...nor have I forgotten the long ago pic posted of the wonderful whimsy you painted in your powder room.... All of that denotes considerable talent.....:)

Oh my goodness, you are too kind! That's just stuff I have fun with. There's no vision or goal in mind, well, except for the food. You have no idea how I struggle with color and I'm much better at reproducing something someone else thought up first!

I’m considering making one and breaking out of here. I am almost crazy enough to do it. I can’t take much more of this. They better get me out of here tomorrow or I don’t know what I will do. I know everyone thinks I’m crazy. Well who the hell wouldn’t be after nearly 2 months in one institution or another. They have done all they can do for me. I had pneumonia and had re injured my hip and shoulder. Ok that’s over. The big problem now is my sodium being too low. What are they doing to treat it. A big fat 00000. Year

Hi, Pat! Good to hear from you, even though your current circumstances aren't ideal.

Sad truth is that as we get riper with age, we just don't heal as fast. I can sure understand your desire for a jail break, but don't rush off if there's chances of relapse!

And just why aren't they addressing the low sodium?

I know exactly what you mean. I have a sister in an Alzheimer's facility. How would you or I sound if we were confined in a unit with thirty other people who mostly can't walk or even talk. Somebody to tell us when we can/must eat and when to go to the bathroom. Part of the diagnostic interview involves knowledge of place and time. How on earth are you supposed to know where you are when you only get out four times a month. Date/day of the week? Every day is exactly like the day before and the day coming up. Who's president? Who cares?

Alright, Patrick. Back to you; my rant is over for the day.

Keep on being an inspiration to the rest of us.

Gardening & cooking are arts! Don't short change yourself, we've seen your work!

Love that show! Those guys do amazing work. Hard stuff.

Our little Geordi Porcher took Best of Breed under stiff competition. To say I am on cloud 9 would be an understatement.
Excellent boy, Geordi! That is wonderful! I'd be floating, too!

Hang in there, Legs! Have you talked to the Dr about your sodium? The one who diagnosed it? Have they said why they aren't working on that?

Aint it the truth. We did get something resolved today. I get out on Friday. Now I have to keep from getting hurt till then. Man this has been an ordeal. This time around 2 surgeries. I know they are trying to help but it is hard to be objectionable after a while. No vaping this time at all. Can’t wait. I have been in one institution or another since Dec 30th. I did get to go home for a couple of weeks in there. I have screwed myself one way or another since then. I can’t even remember everything I’ve done. A lot let’s put it that way. I have had quite an experience in the medical community of Spokane. Now I’m somewhat happier with a firm date for discharge. Now if I can keep from getting hurt any more. I seem to be on a roll. I have had surgery on my shoulder, hip. You talk about skin and bones that is me totally. 115 weight. God I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. All of this and still need more. Ginny started her radiation. I’m supposed to be there for her my grAndaughter is now. She has 27 to go.

This is the latest - Ranger (blue boy) went on his way to his new home today in Illinois, south of Chicago, to the town next to where I grew up (he will live in Homewood, I grew up in Flossmoor). His new owner and I went to the same high school (although not at the same time)!!! He will have a wonderful life with a lovely couple who love to camp and explore.

Must share an event I attended today. Due to my deteriorating back/hips issue, I attended a stem cell seminar this mid-day.

What an eye opening and encouraging experience! As a result of the shared documented info, I have an appointment for an evaluation tomorrow. Chances are very good that I will elect to receive a treatment. If that works to my benefit, I'll have Patty's situation evaluated. And if that proves to also be beneficial, our eldest daughter will also be evaluated.

BTW, I recently had a cortisone injection for my right hip. It's helped somewhat, but will need more in the near future to manage my overall major discomfort. Ergo, hoping that the umbilical stem cell treatment will eliminate that need.

$ide note: $ince cell$ can not be patented, Big Pharma i$ NOT plea$ed at all with this po$$ible life changing alternative treatment; no mo' opioid$, steroid$ and da like (I hope)!

Will keep y'all posted as to my progress...

Hugs to you & Ginny, Legs! I know you are both worn out from this.

I hope this goes thru for you! I had hopes a couple of years ago for getting into a stem cell trial for RA. They rejected me without saying why. [emoji850]

They have a black mark/stripe down the tail. Who knows how dark Ranger will become. Geordi was lighter when young
View attachment 805639

Can't seem to post the picture, but, Geordi is pretty dark now but has the mahogany undercoat... they develop the black overlay as they get older. Some are darker than others. I like to call the kaleidoscope dogs for the first few years cuz you never know what's going to happen!

On another note, I wish both Patrick and Ginny, and you and Patty, the best! Hope everything works out well.
