I've been sitting for the 3 little pups since Wednesday night. I was here last weekend when it was so stormy, too. The little fox terrier has horrible fear of storms. Even just rain will set her off. She paves, pants, tries to get into cupboards, jump up onto coutertops & into the upper cupboards. She can't sit still at all. It will go on for hours. I feel horrible for her. They finally seem to have a system of natural meds & 1 rx that work pretty well. She did well during the few neighborhood fireworks last nightn barked some & that was it. Even during the City display she did great. It's further away, but I could hear it, & I know if I can then she could too. No reaction to those at all. It seems to just be storms or rain that freak her out.Fireworks have nothing on the thunder and lightning we have had this afternoon! First time in many years I don't have to deal with noise phobia, Geordi sleeps through it all! Well, we did do some conditioning exercises and ball fetching before it started..
Happy Independence Day to all!

She's a rescue, & very submissive with people, but not so much with the other 2 pups. One lets her boss him around h the other ain't havin' it. The think she may have been abused, or left outside during a storm. She's very hungry for affection. I can't even get her to let me hold her to comfort her when she gets wound up. I can tell she wants it, but she can't stay still. She's shaking all over & when the shaking gets to be more than she can stand she has to get down & pace. Itxs literally like shes climbing the walls h bouncing off everything. Including me. At least if I'm there I can keep her out of the cabinets.Awww, poor thing. I hate to see pups so agitated and scared of storms and fireworks. Our daughter's dog had no fear as a pup, but as an adult she kept getting more and more afraid. And of course they know a storm is coming long before we're aware of it. I think she finally got some kind of medication from the vet that seems to help a lot.
Ugh! Glad he's feeling better & has family to help him make good decisions. I really wish he'd held onto his Subtanks or Nauty's.Gave Patrick a call to check up on him; hadn't heard from him recently.
He has went under hospice care for pain management. His regular doc wouldn't increase his meds and she agreed hospice was the way to go. Pat says that just a small increase in dosage made a world of difference! He is now basically pain free.
He still is banged up enough that he hasn't worked much on his mobility; needs more mending time. But he says he has terrific care with his family and the hospice workers tending him. He's very pleased with his care!
He is also debating switching vaping styles. Guess his hands aren't steady enough to rebuild his toppers/coils anymore. So it looks like he'll be joining Iffy's 'swap & vape' club.
All in all, he seems to be in normal spirits and can't say enough nice things about his family and hospice. And he is soooo glad the pain is being managed!

So that's home hospice?
I'm thinkin' dat he has some Nautys due to Ginny's efforts. He's yet to go thru his stash (can ya just imagine what all he has under da bed!)...

Yes, it is.
Mike, not a lot out there mtl style close to the nautilus. I moved from it to the Zenith myself and it's so much better that I don't think that I could go back.Yep ... he's seems to be doing Ok. Janet and I spoke w/ him today also. He's not yet build his strength up enough to be walking yet, he's really looking and hoping that''ll come along though.
And, he has located a couple Nauty's and was wondering what's current in the way of tanks w/ replaceable heads. The last one's Janet and I used were the Nauty's so I was much help. So if anyone is up on the current popular replaceable head tanks, he's appreciate knowing what they are so he can check them out.
Thanks for keeping us updated, Iffy, & helping him device wise. I'm so out of the loop on new stuff. I'm still so grateful he's with his family. He could not have done this on his own. The lack of co-operation from Drs is terrible. Especially concerning pain. Glad he's getting competant care otherwise.Ummm, sounds like I need to do a lil' investigating on Zeniths...

Well, pulled da trigger on a pair of Zeniths. If they're as good as my Nautis/Sabukis have been, I know I'll luv da top fill capability!
Day-um, sure has been a while since I spent dis kinda coinage on vapin'...
My freedom smokes has the tank for $16.95. Checked FT too but boy have their prices gone up since that tariff thing took effect. FT's price is $25!@MikeE3 , that's a long-winded way to say the Zenith tank with replaceable coils would probably be right up his ally. The tank seems to be $20-$25.
