Even though we all expected this outcome especially after these last few months, it still a punch in the stomach!

Pat has been a staple here with us for quite a few years, and for him to interject humor with just about every health situation bodes well for his strong character. We/I could all take a lesson from him.

I pray that when his time comes, it will be peaceful, and he will be reunited with the love of his life, Ginny!

I love you, Patrick!!

I need some new 18650 batts. We've been using the tootsie rolls (LG HG2's) for the last few years. I'm thinking of trying the Sony VTC6's. Any opinions or comments ... anyone?

Well - I asked an ECF friend who is an advanced user a similar question not to long ago:

"BTW: What 20A cell battery do you prefer . . .

Here is a a copy of his reply:

"Before the great label debacle of 2017/18, I was a huge consumer of LG HE2, LG HE4, and LG HG2 batteries. Still have quite a lot of them in use. However, once LG started playing CYA with the labels warning against use in vaping devices, I switched back to old faithful Samsung 25R. You would also do well with Samsung 30Q. The LG HE series and 25Rs are 2500 mAh. The HG is 20A 3000 mAh. The 30Q is 15A 3000 mAh."

Hope that info is helpful . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Nearly had a bleedin' heart attack when I saw you posted in here today. Took a bit before I could get up the nerve to look at your post and then I see it was a FP question. :grr:

Well, I knew its was a FP type question but I thought the BP gets more visitors so opted against protocol and post the question here.

I'm not clear on the FP/BP differences.

Once upon a time long, long ago ... we only had one porch in the General Forum area. It was used for sharing info and/or asking questions regarding vaping as well as general chit-chat 'for older folks'. Well being who we are, often times it was overloaded with chit-chat and the admins wanted to move it to the lounge.

So in order to maintain a presence in the General Forum the Front Porch and Back Porch were 'built'. The FP was to be used for vaping topics only and the BP for chit-chat and/or vaping.

Please keep our friend Patrick in your prayers. His daughter posted this on Facebook.

"Sorry I haven't updated in a long time...We do now have my Dad on hospice and so far everyone has been great... This morning the nurse came and said she believes he is starting the process of passing, it may be quick or it could be a couple weeks, only God knows when it will happen. For right now he is still having moments of being awake and alert but they are becoming less and less. I pray for him that this process of leaving his body is peaceful. I know we will all miss him greatly but he will be with his soulmate ( My beautiful stepmom) who passed May 19th.. this is the longest they have ever been apart in over 35yrs and it gives me peace to know she will be waiting for him with open arms"

I was afraid this would happen. He's been under so much stress since Ginny got her diagnosis. Especially the last 5 months with the anxiety.
Prayers continue for aPat & his family & caregivers.

The only reason it matters, the only reason we don't just do it all in the Back Porch, is that we want to keep a presence in the main vaping area for new 'old people' that join ECF.

AND - If I maybe so bold to mention . . . Also to remind some of the "Senior" ECF Members that there is a place for them too whether or not they want to admit they are either 'old people' and/or NEED to take a seat/rocker on the "Back Porch" finally too . . .

HEY - Ya' Never Know What May Happen With Those 'OLD PEOPLE' On The Back Porch . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Love our Fire sticks!!! We have 2, one my hubby uses when he goes on the road without me, other stays home. Our son "jail broke" one for us so we get more options for things to watch.... Both are the low end ones (we don't do Alexa or that stuff) but work great! I got the first one last year on Prime day for $19.95. 2nd we just bought for travel. It's a great deal if you are interested in trying one!!

Some of y'all may remember my praise for the Amazon Fire TV Stick. Well, if ya haven't tried one and you're a Prime member, dis ain't gonna get any cheaper, HERE! KIM, dis is not for 4k. Dat ONE is10 bux more.

Any 'other' advantages to the 4K stick if you don't have a 4K TV?

The main differences are a faster processor and better WiFi chip inside the 4K model.

Well the 4K model is in Janet's cart. We'll see if she leaves it there when she clicks 'buy'. We're pretty set between our Smart TV and Apple TV for our main TV. But the smaller one in the living room is limited to what it's 'Smart' menu provides. The Firestick will let us stream stuff on that TV that the grandkids like to watch on Hulu and some other services not available on the TV's Smart Hub.

EDIT: Went for the 4K for when the time comes to update our current TV.
