Ain't that the cotton pickin' truth?

By a remarkable coincidence, VA sent me to a civilian pulmonologist as well. Actually, my VA doc ordered a pulmonary function test but TriWest or something sent me to him, I guess so he could order a breathing function test and bill something like $300.00 to VA so HE could order the test to be done at the local hospital. He also made another appointment to see him, maybe to go over the results. I bet you anything he tries to make another appointment with him or some other outfit. I would also bet a lesser amount he will need some coaxing to get those results to the VA doc.

Want to hear something funny? Immediately after that pulmonary function test, I picked up my mail at the post office. Lo and behold, there was a notice giving me an appointment at VA in Albuquerque for, whaddaya know, a pulmonary function at the VA hospital in Alb.

I am impressed with their doctors and nurses, but administratively, they are a mess. Administrators and "technicians" tend to be rude, unhelpful, and totally out to lunch. Our local clinic in Farmington, NM, is all you could ask for and more, but nationally, it's a mess.

Sorry to sound a little negative, but I do speak from experience.
Yep I don't get it I had a pulminory function test at the VA Plus they've been doing CT's every 3 months for a while and then 6 and nothing changed for the worse so now it is a year. I had to wait 2 1/2 months for this appt still don't know if I'm going to keep it. I have no idea what it is for and Tri West sent me a thing for some other doc I'd never heard of on another day. and ok'd 5 more visits with him never did find out who he was I called them and told them about this appt and they said oh that was a mistake.

It's just dat I don't wanna lose TV durin' any local storms!
I'm lucky where I live. I have DirecTV and yes I do lose service during strong storms that are South of me. I do have an antenna hooked up and just flip over to whichever national channel I want, I prefer NBC for my local weather. I have a wimp cellar in the backyard and when we have really severe storms I watch the news in my workshop that is only about 20 feet from the cellar. In the cellar, I have a crank operated radio, bottled water, and propane lamps in case of power failure. Plus plenty of neighbors to keep me company. LOL My neighbors have used it more times than I have.

Gotta ask, have ya had any issues wid Dish? Do like sum of their options. It's just dat I don't wanna lose TV durin' any local storms!
Nope the only time we lose it is if it snows hard which the guy said may be a little better with the new dish cause they put teflon in the paint. Otherwise Ginny has to go out and we have a broom taped to a 2X2 so she can reach it. I'm not allowed out in the snow since I fell that one time. You shouldn't have to worry about that. This dish is even bigger then the old one.

If you are allowed to get the Welcome pack it's great. 19.99 a month and get all your locals the rest are just religion ond infomercials. If you have a DVR that is $10 a month extra but if you get a 722k you can run 2 tv's on 2 different channels at the same time which is what we have. You can even record 2 programs and watch a 3rd that is recorded. But like for me I used to use the DVR a lot but not so much now with all the other choices I've got. If it wouldn't have been free because mine was obsolelete I wouldn't have even bothered they make a nice HD receiver like I have in my motorhome that is HD.

Well, I have my Christmas decorating almost done.

I have a Christmas wallpaper on my phone. Does that count? Either way, I'm
done!

All the Christmas pics reminded me about an article I read about Philip Morris.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My friend asked me to go shopping and then let me use her coupon. I bought 3 nice long sleeve shirts for $24. Two black and one red. The red is for my mediation I have coming up Tuesday. Red can make me positively aggressive.

I am sure I will get spousal support one day.

Blackberry wine, music and a hot tub sure makes for a nice cold night. . .

Texas, near Fort Hood
P.S. dyi sharktank scrubby = pool noodle cut up
splain more please. I tried looking this up and did find a video for making a wreath form from a pool noodle! Heck of a lot cheaper than actual wreath forms.

And the lil woman iz on da whey to da states today so it prolly won't get logged in time so I won't get em till next weak anywho.
that stinks

Sigh! RELIEF. Thank you. He may have left us because he wanted to be more private.
he didn't leave us. He's been staying so late at work trying to fix a really bad thing that happened.....he only makes one or maybe two very brief posts a day

Sales have dropped off, but we just completed a blog tour.
oh good, hope the blog tour helps. We did those with stamping also. Lots of fun.

BTW, I never use da green on anything I really care 'bout... Da gray is twix da two others.
I do........they aren't as sturdy as they used to be and non stick is better than it used to be. I pretty much soak everything anyhow so rarely have to actually "scrub" something. I use it on plates, flatware, everything. I get em at Sam's in a big box, then cut each of those in 1/4's I just can't stand using sponges in the kitchen (that's what my dil uses) I just feel like these are cleaner, and even though I bleach out her sponges from time to time, I don't like doing it since bleach makes me itch really bad......I still feel like ya use em one time and they're nasty again lol I know in my head the dishwasher probably sterilizes em at least somewhat, but I just can't feel comfy doin that either.

Only in Texas does your GPS tell you to turn South onto the I35 West North ramp so you can go east to I35 east South.

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.
lmao.......JUP! Now when the GPS starts sayin turn left where the old firehouse used to be.......we'll really understand it!! Turn north, south etc......makes me wanna chunk it out the window as I'm yelling......I gotta know which way I'm going to know which way north or south is.....if I knew where I was.......I wouldn't need directions!!! lol

thanks hun. Turns out I did have that in my reminders.

They are going to try to use my health to get a compassionate reassignment when he gets back, He will be about due for reassignment. It would be great to have her 300 miles away rather then 2500 miles. Well Hope for the best. I'm supposed to go to some pulmonary doc tomorrow, not sure for what the VA is sending me there so I have a bunch of paperwork to do. I can't figure out when all your records are on the computer you have to fill all this crap out every time you see a new doc
Yay for her!!!!!!! That's fantastic!!! hope they can pcs to your area. I'm with you.......I tell em y'all already know more about me than I do........why is this necessary???

You might wanna just call em and ask what the appt is for before you cancel it. Then if it's not important to you.....don't go.

We're both doing pretty good Ginny is supposed to get her Reclast infusion Tuesday but not sure because you are not supposed to have any infections and she turned up with a Sty yesterday. I'm still worried about it. Fighting with the insurance company about paying for her bone scan, they keep saying it was preventative and not covered and this was after the place that did it recoded it and resubmitted saying it was medically necessary. Well I didn't mean to write a book but haven't been here for awhile so it is what it is. You'd think paying $1100 a month for insurance they'd cover it.
Hope you can get the bone scan thing straightened out. Might have to fight it a bit......but don't give up since the doc recoded it.

With direct when we had it before, the only time I lost reception from rain was when there were just a few drops falling. When it really rained, it would come back on or straighten up. It usually didn't go totally out. With dish we really only had trouble once in awhile, not very often. Of course it was always during one of two favorite shows that I'd dvr'd so had to find it on amazon prime and pay for the episode.

I am impressed with their doctors and nurses, but administratively, they are a mess.
Jup this is what I say about our military. Don't get me wrong.......I cherish our military..... but I say on the ground......they can't be beat. But put one piece of paper in front of em and you can take em out! lol

Anybody watching the Seattle game? Kammy doesn't look like he's even playing. Must be ub a badmood. Never have really liked his attitude anyway.
sorta watched it........not really. had it on while catching up on threads

Thought this was a good article, thought I'd share. Since our generation is dipping it's toes further and further into technology. Jonathan Safran Foer: technology is diminishing us
JUP!! Makes me very sad.
