I've only been up in one like that many many years ago..but what a thrill!

A thrill indeed... something you never forget.

In fact, been thinking about it, and I'm going to forgo the ride he promised me and see if he'll take my kids up! They've never been flying in anything, large or small. I've never been in a jetliner, just the little ones.

These snaps with my phone don't do it justice. It's gorgeous in person, and the interior is practically flawless too.

I edited -downsized- these and felt like I should 'white-out' the N number on the rudder while I was at it.

This Beaut has huge control surfaces, takes off at ~50 mph in only 720 ft., and is a 3 seater - one in front and two side-by-side back seats. He said you have to force it to do a power-on stall, and even then it don't want to... at full throttle slowly pull the stick all the way back and it just digs in and keeps on flying - nose up! Notice it has no flaps. If you come in too high or too hot, just 'slip' it. That's when you 'cross-control' it - push the stick to the right like you're turning right except use left rudder and push the nose down. You can shed a lot of altitude in a few seconds, and you have more (quicker) control than with flaps.
Beautiful. A friend of my dads was taking flying lessons when I was young. I went with him many times in a small airplane. Don't remember what it was. It was loads of fun.

Good news at the Dr office, glucose, a1c, and insulin are much better and triglycerides are normal.

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

Good news from Russell! :banana::thumbs::banana:

Geno, if it's a business venture, ya might want to check wid da FAA. If fer gratis, no problems as I've read.

Dave can probably give mo' info.

Yessir… if I get all the way into this, it’ll be for-profit for-sure. I’m also sure there will be registrations, regulations, and certifications. And I’ll be sure to cross all my ‘i’s and dot all my ‘t’s…. uh… wait… ;)

From what little research I’ve done so far, looks like the initial investment for an Ag. setup is in the neighborhood of 10-15k for a customized top-of-the-line quad with infrared camera, specialized programming and accessories, and a subscription to a service that can ‘stitch’ the videos into one static image of a given field.

And if bb will tolerate it, I’ll likely be buggin’ him too. It’s been interesting, to say the least, watching Dave’s ‘quad abilities’ and confidence gradually grow since the first one. I haven’t watched ‘em all, but to me the one that goes by the quarry is one of the best yet – except no dance at the end!

"And Dave decides to circumvent a bunch of dumb questions from Geno by heading him off at the pass... he's back, he's looking, and he fires it over the middle - a Hail Mary folks!... all the way for a touchdown!!!" :D

One of my phew life regrets is I chose playing ball vs. gettin' a pilots license on da cheap via my past USAF bases flight clubs...

Serious question: why do we even have a Surgeon General? What's its job and what is it good for?
Ummm, Google can be your best friend or worst enemy...

Just 'member, it's all a political game nomination, not necessarily medically qualified nor US citizen endorsed... (ie.. Joycelyn Elders as an example...)

BTW, unfortunately, dis swings both ways...

We have a lot of old planes that fly in our area. A couple are bi-planes, a red one & a yellow one.
