My wife's banana pudding cake

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

Well that cake certainly doesn't look like a 'MEH'.

Burned a batch of peanut brittle, the fudge wouldn't harden....but I stumbled on this....everything's good.....

We are going to watch the new well almost new Captain America movie tonight. Red Box sent a code that I could rent a movie for $.27... Couldn't pass it up...
It's also on Netflix as of today.

Merry Christmas everyone. Went to the brother in law's for prime rib with all the fixings and turtle pie for dessert. It don't get better than that. Now I'm watching Kansas City kick the Bronco's ..... Broncos lose and Miami clinches a playoff (wildcard) berth. Now that I live about 20 miles from their stadium I figure I should support the Dolphins. Especially if I want to jave anything sport related to talk to my neighbor about.

Hope eberyone had a great Christmas!

That is one of my Chirtmas must have movies. I finally bought it on blue ray. It was nowhere to be found on tv until last night at 7pm.

Believe it or not I've never watched it all the way through. Just doesn't grab me.

Merry Christmas to my ECF family! Thanks for all of the support and love you have given throughout the almost two years I have been a member.

I have 3 must see Christmas movies, A Christmas Story, It's A Wonderful Life and White Christmas. I was able to catch It's A Wonderful Life and White Christmas on HD Net Movies. A Christmas Story was on TNT.
My wife is a real "Miracle on 34th Street" fan. Doesn't care for Wonderful Life. Me, I can take em or leave em.

Well we haven't been about the porch much this week. Been a busy week. Kaitlin, Brian and Huxley have came in last weekend and we've been doing a lot of family time. We'll be celebrating Christmas tomorrow with Michael, Rachel, Miles, Kaitlin, Brian, and Huxley all together ... what more could we ask. Kate and her family fly out on Christmas day for Arizona to be w/ Brian's Dad before heading back to Colorado.

So Janet's been baking ... this is our traditional Dobas Torta ... although Janet kicked it up a notch with a fancy top.

Been so nice having Kate and Hux around for the week.

Ain't he a cutie ... he likes to smile ... he's a happy baby.

Michael's been around a couple days and we had Mile's around too this week. This is his 'just off the boat at Ellis Island' look.

But this is he real look ... he's already a huge fan of Batman ... not a surprise so is my son.

Just love having both the grand babies around this week.

Sorry your fudge wouldn't harden for the peanut brittle, but that lil squirrel and cat vid was a real treat.

Thank you, and yes, I totally agree that we've been very blessed. This year was especially nice because we were all together in person. No FaceTime needed! Mike and I got to hold both grandsons. No telling when that's going to happen again.

That's a riot. We have a ton of squirrels on our deck due to the birdseed and I guarantee our 2 kitties have absolutely no desire to play with any of them. It's not surprising that it's an orange cat in this clip. For some reason most orange cats, usually male, are very laid back and friendly. Wonder why that is.

Outbreeding. Reigning monarchs of cat muttdom.

My Christmas with the Mennonite community was fantabulous and intellectually stimulating. Discussed cultural diversity and problems of public education. And of course, the problems of Amish communities. They had another guest who needs a lot of friendship.

hehehe told ya it would git ya! A lotta folks are liking the coppervape mod from FT. But ya just can't beat a Reo for quality and longevity even though they are pricey.

Thanks Deb... I just now checked out the coppervape mod and put one in my Wishlist - I had just placed an FT order Friday (and got an 'order shipped' email Sat. morning!). And Thanks also to @Sterno for the Eleaf Pico Squeeze suggestion. I put one of those in my FT cart but noticed when checking out - everything else was 'in stock' or 'ships next day' and the Squeeze was not due back in stock until Jan. 15th IIRC... didn't want to hold up the whole order so moved it to my Wishlist.

Now though, I'm thinking instead of spending $20 here and $30 there, I should just save up for a REO Grande LP. I want a quality mech BF that I can wash, dry, and have back in service in ~10 minutes... nothing fits the bill for that like the REO.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and as much good food and good fellowship as we had yesterday. The weather here was absolutely beautiful! (tho not 'seasonal' - very warm) We drove down to my Moms', visited, ate, opened presents, ate some more, sat out on the patio, then wallowed home with a full belly and a cooler full of leftovers... good times!

British pop singer George Michael, who shot to fame in the 1980s with Wham! and continued as a solo artist, died on Sunday at his home in England. He was 53.
And on Christmas Day, too. Bummer.
