I avoided political conversation at the family gathering on Christmas and I will avoid it here. Feelings are still too high on both sides and it quickly dissolves into ugly rhetoric, which I would prefer not to see. The election is over....the die has been cast...all that remains is to wait and see what transpires as the result...

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Me too actually but, that was a number or years ago. However, before I pretty much quit drinking, if I'm not mistaken and my memory is correct, I did ask a young lady that worked at our local Ace if she wanted a sugar daddy.;):lol:

Well, at my age, my limit on that would be this ::

And, I don't want to hear any opinion on "mini" .. although, disproportionately, I do have pretty good size hands .. ;)o_O:pop:

Naw.
When I was younger, I liked to run, and bicycled a lot. I was pretty good with the Frisbee too. Do those count?
Nowadays I still enjoy walking and nature trails. I've climbed a few small mountains, and one big, upside down mountain (the Grand Canyon). Spent three days hiking the Appalachian Trail. :)

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot ... I like attending gatherings/rallies with my smart fortwo, and just taking road trips with no destination in mind. Been to events from Denver to Orlando and North Carolina/Tennessee (Tail of the Dragon).

I don't guess any of these count as sports though. Oh well, they're as close as I come.

LOVE my Smart Car!!!!!! I'm prepping for a road-trip of sorts. I noticed snow on the car in one of your pix - how does it handle for you? Ours is white :)

Always glad to meet another smartie! When I see another on the road I flash my headlights, wave, honk ... whatever seems appropriate. Usually get a reply. And they're uncommon enough here that it's not a daily occurrence.

I have limited experience driving the smart in Winter conditions. The last snowfall where I live was in 1989. But, in February 2010, I needed to return to the dealer in Atlanta for its 20K service. The trip was scheduled a week before it became apparent the weather would be an interesting aspect of the trip. :)

It started snowing heavily as I passed through Dothan, Alabama and continued through to Atlanta, 225 miles. There were several times when I broke traction. The short wheelbase smart probably would've spun like a top, but the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) took the situation by the horns faster than I could've reacted. It was a real trooper, even though it was my first experience with icy roads since I lived in Colorado in the early 1980s.

The only thing that might be a concern is if there's much depth to the snow. The smart sits pretty low. The Yankee smarties on the forum smart car of america have all the knowledge regarding snow tires. They're a helpful bunch.

Just saw on the news that Debbie Reynolds (84) has been taken to the hospital with what appears to be a stroke. No further details yet. Prayers needed. I will keep her in mine.
I saw that too. Kind of a shocker, 2016 has been rough on our generation.

Well, we have a new hot water heater.

I cleaned the back entry/laundry room before we left on Monday for So FL to hubby's aunt's 90th birthday party and no problems. Came home yesterday and I noticed what I thought was doggie grff (upchuck) by the back door. When I went to clean it up water gurgled out from under the laminate floor. This is a mobile, and they built the walls around the water heater. Not an easy job to replace, but hubby did it today. Had to rip out all the flooring in that little room, most of the walls surrounding the water heater (but electric box is on the outside of one of the walls), going to replace the laminate in there with tile (we did the laminate throughout when we first bought the place - a trashed repo we totally rebuilt. I love the layout - 4 bedrooms, open concept, living room, family room with fireplace, etc. Heck the master bath is bigger then our son's bedroom was when we lived in So FL!!). The tile job will wait til another day, but the old water heater was so full of sand we could not drain it! It was a big mess, but the subfloor is fine (thank goodness I found it right away!). We got a great deal on some nice tile at Habitat for Humanity, one of our favorite places to shop. It was a heck of a job, but we are so fortunate hubby can do all this work. If we had to pay a contractor/plumber/electrician? I shudder to think what it would have cost. Whole thing will be complete for under $500. Water heater alone was $350, so quite the savings! We have filters and a water softener installed, so this heater will not fill with sand like the old one did. Old one was over 20 yrs old, so it had a good life.

We are both tired, especially hubby! But I helped!!
