Well no new feet today. They called and said because of the holiday mess they got shipped but won't be here till next week so wait somemore. Must've ordered from FT or Amazon.

I generally like anything by the Coen's .. in particular :: "Inside Llewyn Davis", which is a thinly disguised re-telling of Bob Dylan's foray into NYC in the 1960's .. an excellent film ... as well as the rest of the usual suspects ::

"True Grit" .. loved it, Jeff Bridges as Deputy U.S. Marshal Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn may not quite be John Wayne, but he did a damn fine job ..
"No Country for Old Men"
"Fargo" .. the TV series is really great as well ..
"The Big Lebowski" .. one of my all time favorite films, watch it at least once a year ..
"Miller's Crossing" .. great noir
"Oh Brother, Where Art Thou ..?" .. classic and just plain wonderful

I don't normally watch sappy, tear jerkers, but I had a Redbox code that needed to be used, so I rented "Mr Church" the other day on a whim .. highest recommendation and captivating from front to back ..

Me too but, this one wasn't one of their better efforts. If you get a chance please watch it and let me know what you think. It's on HBO right now but, probably will make Netflix soon. Didn't do well at the box office. George Clooney is in it, not that implies the reason it didn't do well.

Bells, If you want to get the color perfect without spending a bunch of money just stop at the paint chip area of your local home center and get what appears in daylight as neutral grays. Then adjust the color temp of the camera until there is no tint added or subtracted from the color. Then do the same for a real white. That's basically what the automatic white point adjustment in most cameras does. Problem is that "pleasing color" isn't the same for everyone. I did color correction and image adjustment for a living after I retired from the navy. Of course YMMV.

I tried it with video .. even using an i7 with 32 Gig Ram / Quad Core / Nvidia GeForce and an SSD drive, it bogged down eventually .. I like Cyberlink PowerDirector .. it pulls together freeze frame with stabilization, slo-mo, and color correction .. Exports to HEVC, Multi-Cam Editing, Automatic Motion Tracking, and a lot more .. for the money, I don't think it can be beat ..

Random Thought :: I heard on the News the other night that the most popular item thieves were snagging this Holiday season were those "Laser Light Up Your Home" gizmos .. apparently, roving carloads of miscreants were cruising the 'hoods and grabbing these yard staked novelties up .. What they then did with them, who knows ..

I used to do a Yearly Clark Griswold bit, until it just became too much hassle ..
