I was a very grateful recipient of a kind act today. With my 88 year old mother in the car, I stupidly managed to get it stuck on a sandy road miles from nowhere. The good Samaritan pulled me out. I only had a couple dollars to offer in gratitude, so I offered him a gently used 12VDC compressor. He declined both offers and accepted my thanks and a hand shake.

I'd have gladly parted with the compressor in exchange for his help. Guess he didn't actually need one. Heh.
Well, at least Mom had a little adventure.

Acts of kindness occur quite often we just don't hear about it. I am of the opinion that acts of kindness are their own reward. I enjoy the feeling I get when I can do the unexpected and provide an act of kindness.

So agree with the above. It's rather a shame that we hear/read more about negative acts rather than the small acts of kindness. There are so many opportunities for kindness!

I don't normally sit through 15 min. videos. When I clicked on that one and saw the length, I thought I'd give it a few minutes - but sat through the whole thing, listening intently. My kids will definitely be watching that one!

The election is over....the die has been cast...all that remains is to wait and see what transpires as the result...

I wish the mainstream media, bloggers, and armchair prognosticators would "get" that - everywhere you turn these days, someone is speculating about what they think Trump will do. "He's gonna start WWIII, he's gonna piff-off China, he's gonna restart a nuclear Cold War, kill the planet, ruin health care... etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum. News flash - they don't know what the future holds, any more than you or I do. They're just speculating, filling space, stirring the pot - and getting paid for it!... and usually preceded by a click-bait headline... sad.

All we can do now is wait and see.

I'd like more red and less green but I have no idea what to change to head in that direction.

I suppose I'm a little late to suggest increasing the white balance color temp to make it more red? Brother beat me to it. (I was ~10 pages behind, all caught up now.)

IMO, Any attempt to normalize Drumpf is ill informed.

One thing pretty certain, he will fight any attempts to abolish/reform the archaic Electoral College, having lost the popular vote by 3 Million. Fortunately for the world, he will be POTUS, not KING.

I have mentally vowed to refrain from Political Discourse on the Back Porch, although the Thread Drift is causing me temptation, once again .. the one thing I will say is, I've tried to remain optimistic in all things all my life, so, being a Glass Half Full kind of guy, I've essentially taken a Wait and See attitude .. until the Sky is Falling, the Sky is Not Falling ..

Time and Actions have a way of eventually defining all of us ..

Before I forget again, I did want to mention that if any did not catch "The Kennedy Center Honors" the other night, it's well worth trying to find it on-line or On-Demand .. it was absolutely excellent, with James Taylor, Mavis Staples and The Eagles (and others) being featured .. one of the best I've ever watched ..

Howdy, y'all!! Sorry for the long absence... I've been absolutely swamped with real-life problems between work and home. I've managed to drop by the boards a little here and there, but was so far behind here that I just couldn't ever seem to get caught up. We are alive and well, though. I'm getting ready to head out of the office for the weekend and will be back on Tuesday, so I'll give y'all an update on everything then.
