Cathy, I had a dream about you last night. I was a college student, and they were having a dog show, with lots of vendors. In the same building, without cancelling classes, but juggling them around to smaller rooms. It was a really bad scene, and I was late to class, but I got to say hi to you. Most of the elevators were not working, and it turned into another architectural nightmare. I have them more often than any other. I should have been an architect!

Oh my, now I am in nightmares!!!! But glad we got to say HI!

Don't know why a college would sponsor a dog show, unless it was a part of their vet program. Or vet tech. Maybe they were floundering financially, to reserve most of the elevators for dog show people. But it was a dream, anyway.

In other news, I took down my only Christmas decoration. Changed my wallpaper.

Seems better today and yesterday afternoon. I guess it was not taking my Metformin for a couple of days due to the CT Scan with contrast. Can't put any kind of load on the kidneys until the contrast is out of your system. I'm guessing that my Victoza doesn't work well without the Metformin. Was 93 yesterday evening and I haven't checked it today. Got busy and completely forgot but, I feel pretty good so it's probably less than 200. I'll check in a while.
Take care of yourself, Matt, you can't neglect these things!

So true! We call it "amateur night" too. We experienced drinkers just stay home.

Our hot water heater change out has been a minor nightmare. Had to rip out a wall to get it out. Then to find the right size water heater! Found it at Home Depo. Now working on re-tiling the floor and painting the replaced wall and whole entry way/laundry room. I don't even want to think of what it would have cost for a contractor/plumber/electrician to have done the job! Have to wait to finish the back entry that got the wettest until the subfloor dries completely. But the tiled kitchen area looks great!

So for those that put up decorations - have you taken them down yet!!!

Raining here for the next few days - that is my project this afternoon...

The tree and inside decorations will come down tomorrow. The outside lights the 1st nice day after that. The manger will stay out until after Three Kings Day.

First, I'm glad that screaming spot test was a temporary spike, though I don't credit the Metformin much. It is helpful, but not really that much in my experience.

Yeah, amateur night. They haven't learned how to drive drunk. Another thing; they are usually protected by the sober drivers paying attention. No so after midnight on new year's day.
No matter what your inner ear says, don't move the damn steering wheel! ;)

Dang you are a handy guy Matt. Want to come spend a couple weeks, gots lots of projects.
Only when I get done here. Next is the master bath. Gonna move some walls, reconfigure the master walkin closet and rip out a huge garden tub (looks like a swimming pool) and put in a huge 4 head shower. 2 regular heads, 1 massage head and a rain shower. Doree is on my behind to get it done. I'll post some pics of what we have now when I can take em. Too much stuff in there now. Since we're not using it right now we've been storing stuff in it. Mostly boxes we haven't emptied yet as there is no place to put most of it right now.

American Legion is having a Packers party tomorrow. No mention of New Year's. I guess their way of celebrating Wisconsin without acting like Wisconsinites. I went over and borrowed their WIFI for my tablet late this morning.
Fixing to watch the Dolphins/Patriots game on CBS.

We were shocked the first time we saw a group of 6 deer, including one large buck, at our front bird feeder that's on a pole. He reared up and started banging on the bird feeder while the females enjoyed the seed raining down on them. Now how did they know that's where the seed came from?

It's strange, but both our female cats don't like catnip. Someone said it's usually just the males who like it. No idea if that's true, but is your cat a male or female?

You are a man of many talents Matt! Mrs. Matt must be thrilled you're so smart you can save all that money!! (Electricity has always scared the bejeezus out of me.)

Wow, the floor looks great and you can look forward to a new year with a new water heater you won't have to worry about for many years.

Yummm! I've got the remains of a ham in the fridge that I'm going to make split pea soup with on Monday. The last 2 hams I made lentil soup so now it's the peas turn. Love me a pot of soup when it's cold outside!
My cat's a male. But he's pretty strange.

Not yet. I should but I'm going to take it easy today. I just won't turn em on. Probably take em down on Tuesday, tomorrow is the Rose Parade (my favorite, make sure to watch commercial free on HGTV) and college ball. :)
