I'd called the emergency no. about 7:00 a.m.-ish, told him the furnace was out....Had to call again about 8:30 to find out where the hell he was, his story was that when he got by the office to "check in" someone's fire alarm was going off so he had to check that out first...he finally showed up about 9:30-ish! He's about as useless as t"a"ts on a boar.

oh, to answer your ?...my appt. wasn't till 2;00 p.m.

Sorry (not really, really) to be da contrarian here. Long story short, last year had my local CU manager personally introduced me to ALL da present employees after I was 'bout to close my 21 year long accounts dere due to da above BS. Actually learned dat my ol' curmudgeon/TWIUTB attitude 'limited' their 'limits'.

Am I special? Absolutely NOT. But I sure as Hades can find a financial institution (actually have 'nother account locally, wid no past issues) to allow dem earn monies wid my monies where I do not have to shed my hat/'shades'/dignity!

Never ferget to follow da money and, to a somewhat less influential level, da power of public relations/customer relations!!!

So help me, when did self respect/worth get tossed to da side? <donning flame suit>

Diver is absolutely correct. I was told "employee safety" and "all the local banks have the same policy". I told da manager BS and dat our local **&* does not have that policy. At dat point I got quite irritated (hate being lied to) and da 'atmosphere' drastically change at dat point (ergo, subsequent employees' introductions).

OBTW, I erred... make dat 31+ years, not 21 (didn't count my retirement years).


Dennis, sure wish we could get ya down/over here. It's been Springtime pretty much all Autumn/Winter thus far. But sum SB is gonna leave their car door open dis weekend. But we should 'recover' later next week...

I actually enjoy the cold weather, Florida cold weather. Yes, we have freezes here and even an occasional dusting of snow, but it only lasts a day or two then back to 70s, - 80s. And pretty much only January-February. My perfect temps are 70s days, 50s nights. Yeah, that's my kinda weather! Y'all can keep the snow. I grew up near Chicago, I will pass.

I've seen those but, we're not there yet. Going to yank out the tub. Fill in the hole and put in a walk in shower with a bench, lots of niches for shampoo and such and a bunch of shower heads.

Fill the hole with a stainless tank, full of nic base. Feds will never find it.

You guys just wait till this arctic blast hits you guys in the Eastern half of the US. You're going to love it. Follows the snow. Man if we have to do what we do now 24/7 I'll be using 2TB of data a month. Have to get the super duper plan.

Yea, that winter blast is hitting us for a few days (below 20 at night), but at least the snow line is going to stay about 20miles north of us...

YES!!!...well hopefully that is...usually it takes about three times before whatever is broke is fixed.

And then I realized that the past winter it was already going kafluey cuz it was hard to get it regulated. I'd have to set it around 75o and it would only go to about 70o! I feel like a resident guinee(?) pig

Good morning, all. It is currently 22°with a windchill of 7°. We are supposed to get 1" - 3" of snow starting later today and overnight. The high today will be 30° with the low tonight of 17°. I need to go to the bank later today and I will be bundled up. I won't win any fashion awards as I wear my camo hunting coat and fur hat. People look at me sort of weird like, however, my hunting gear is warmer than anything else I own. That's ok, though, I'm not out to win awards or impress anyone. My goal is to stay warm.
Last night I was bored, nothing really good on TV so I started crunching some numbers on juice making. I placed an order for some more flavors Tuesday for my main ADV. Since I ordered 16 oz sizes of the 4 ingredients I figured that a 100 ml batch including VG, PG, Nic, and flavors will cost me right at $1.30. The 100 ml of juice will last me about a week. That is a whole heck of a lot less than a carton of analogs.

When it comes to freezing weather and staying warm who cares what you look like?? Better to stay warm than be in fashion!

It kind of works like a submarine door and the jacuzzi is just on/off, but I have a massively screwed up lower back and it helps. Actually I even take showers sitting down (but that's just bc I'm lazy).

This is what I'm talking about with shower controls. If you put in a big shower with lots of shiwer heads it makes adjusting the temperature a lot easier.
