Using Google ('amazon locker'), found two in my vicinity; one in a mall and da other out front of a 7-11.
As per your suggestion, I tried using Google (even though I avoid it) and got the same results. There is no Amazon Locker facility near me. Which I do not find surprising. But they say they're adding more, so I'll be on the lookout.

Try duckduckgo next time you need a search engine. :)

You mean you don't want to go back to Canada?
Funny thing is, in my neck of the woods the economy benefits from "Snow Birds", Canadians on Winter vacation. I have yet to talk with one of them who isn't pleased as punch to be outdoors, enjoying the balmy weather here, even though the thermometer may be reading 40-50°F at the 'heat' of the day.

Speaking for myself, I am forced to hibernate in A/C most of the year. I'm uncomfortable when the mercury climbs above 75°. THIS is my kind of weather. And I freely admit I am living in the wrong part of the country. A fact I would love to change.

If y'all can run the company and make money for the investors at a fraction of the pay a typical CEO makes, I'm sure the board would love to hear from ya.
well Mark Zuckerbeg and others do it with no pay going forward.

most of these companies are making their $profits on tweaking the books or currency swaps,,,,,,not really growing the company.

i think younger investors are going to start demanding more for their investment than what has been acceptable over the past 20 years. part of that will come from ceo pay cuts. as buffy says (in a nutshell) the company should do fine with a monkey at the helm..........why is that? because the biz model was already established and the EMPLOYEES are doing the actual work/designing. the employees are worth more,,,,todays younger people are thinking up new ways to do things.. if they network correctly,, they have a new company and wont have to be a slave for the old companies.

Walked outside to take the dog out and was amazed. It was actually 62° outside and windy as hell. I was actually cold. Of course I was in my bathrobe so thr wind was blowing up my skirt.

Good morning oops, afternoon Good Folks!

Well by golly, it is possible to get a nic buzz off 3mg/ml juice! :D

I got an FT order Friday and haven't had a chance to play with it until today... coiled and wicked 4 attys and been "trying 'em out" - a bit too much I guess... whew... work room is all fogged up and I've got the beginnings of a dull headache! :vapor: Think I'll go outside and play a while.

Also, now I have 5 bottom-fed attys - and only one BF mod!

Woke up to a balmy 12 degrees .. they say that people that live in a cold climate live longer .. ;) .. every year when it gets like this I say "Willie, go have a remote truck start installed so you can press a button and let the durn thing warm up without leaving the comfort of your living room" .. Then I say "This too shall pass .." ..

Our daughter had one installed in her car when she lived in Denver and LOVED it. How nice to get into a warmed car at 7:00 a.m. when it's 4 degrees outside!

Thank ye all for resurrecting the Back Porch, I missed it and it is truly an excellent social forum for us, how shall I put it; oldies, I was searching the forum and trying to figure out what happened to it. This time I have marked it as a watched thread so I do not loose it again. My wife and I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy 2017 and looking forward to re establishing the friends I have met here.

Welcome back then. We've been here all along...

A+ fer spelling, brevity, clarity and honesty!

BTW, anyone utilize AMAZON LOCKERS yet? Neat concept fer deliveries and returns. Just fer S&Gs', gave it a try today when I had to return a leather belt holster fer my Galaxy S7 w/Otter Box Defender case, wrong size.

Sadly, this is as K-Mart/Sears is closing mo' B&Ms. Wonder why...

Haven't used one yet, but if the problem persists of packages being stolen from front porches it might not be a bad idea. I think we have 2 in our vicinity. I'm sure there are areas where they haven't been set up yet. They're probably testing them out to see if it's worthwhile.

Using Google ('amazon locker'), found two in my vicinity; one in a mall and da other out front of a 7-11.

"Amazon Locker provides you with a self-service delivery location to pick up and return your Amazon.com packages. Lockers are currently available in a variety of locations throughout the U.S.

Instead of delivering a package to your home or business address, you can select an Amazon Locker location and pick up your package at a time that's convenient for you. Once your package is delivered to the Amazon Locker, you'll receive an e-mail notification with a unique pickup code that includes the address and opening times for your selected Locker location.

When you arrive to collect your package, enter your pickup code or scan the barcode using the barcode scanner and follow the instructions on the screen.

All packages delivered to Amazon Locker locations must be picked up within three business days. If you're not able to collect your package within this timeframe, the package will be returned to us for a refund."

See above.

OK, the Christmas boxes have finally made it to the attic so Christmas is really, really over for us. Mike got the lights down the other day when it wasn't too cold. Now I drive through our area and feel sorry for all those people who have yet to take theirs down. At the rate we're going it's not going to warm up here until Easter.
