Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Seven

Nothing really. Just keep on being yourselves and let me enjoy peeking into your lives. No matter how I try to stop it, I always get a little blue around this time of year. I think it's a combination of less light, and missing the loved ones that I know won't be around.

Mama is gone now, and she was the glue that held us all together. When she was alive, we all made plans for the holidays to spend time with her. She SO loved cooking for all of us. Now, it's like every man for themselves. I know I won't see my son and grand girls. There is another one on the way, and this time it's a boy.

I'll be working for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The crew is my other family, so it won't be too bad. I'll get through it. I always do.

Aw man, you get in one of those birds and have them deliver you to our house and we'll have a lovely 2nd dinner for you when you get off work! We'll make you feel like family. You can even take a nap on the couch afterward.

Hey Deb what did you think of Spotless.

I'd said earlier, bit ya might missed it. Not my cup of tea.....but they intrigue you into watching another episode, then another, then another. One episode disgusted me so bad, I nearly turned it off right then and there but didn't. Not really sure if I'm enjoying it or not...... it's more like a bad wreck you can't look away from. @2legsshrt

The trip itself was horrendous. Well mainly the trip TO Boston. The trip home wasn't so bad. But the wedding was wonderful! I can hardly wait until I get all the pictures. There was a photographer. Plus, several other people took pictures. The DJ took a bunch of them. The photographer had already gone home before the party really got going.

The wedding itself was small, simple, and beautiful. The dinner was fairly quiet. Until the dancing started. It started slow. But, it got pretty wild. One lady even got up on a chair to dance! And, my two daughters were the life of the party. It made me cry to see them together again like that. Like they were teenagers again. They used to make up dances together and sing duets together when they were teenagers.

And watching all the older people (the groom's family and his parent's friends) having so much fun dancing was incredible. They made me laugh. But, not because they were funny. They made me laugh for joy. My daughters seemed to inspire people to dance for the sheer pleasure of it.

Sooooooo glad y'all had fun, and got to see your daughters be kids again!

I'm with your dad. I remember an episode of "Property Brothers" where they had to get the color paint for the outside of the house approved by the assoc. OMG.

When my ex mother and father in law bought the house they live in now, prolly 20 or so years ago....... they had to paint the eaves over garage and trim 3 different shades of blue before they got one that was acceptable to the HOA. I would have painted the one that complained!

There is another one on the way, and this time it's a boy.

awwwww wahoooooo anudder grand youngin on the way. when is he due? Kinda glad you're workin T-giving and Christmas so you won't be alone...... but sad that y'all don't get together like you used to. But y'all could start that again......just might take some effort and just tellin folks.......this is what we're doin and you WILL be here! lol Lots of really tasty already cooked turkey suppers to get and bring home if ya don't got time to cook. Don't forget to grab a sweet tater pie!

I like James Lee Burke, bothe John & Faye Kellerman, h when those get old I like Clive Cussler. Janet Evanovitch is my go to for funny.

I really wanna get a tablet so that I can start reading again, I miss it. I have a hard time holding the books very long, but once I am hurtin to much to be on computer, and need to stretch flat on the couch, I could totally use a tablet to be able to see the print well and not have to worry bout hands, shoulder, elbow etc hurting from holding the books. perfect time to read.

Found another really good movie on AMazon called the Age of Adelaine with Harrison Ford. Really good

I saw that on one of the movie channels we had. Kinda a female Benjamin Button

Randy Wayne White is another goodie. His main character is Doc Ford, a marine biologist who used to be special ops. Great stories set in Florida. Doc Ford lives on Sanibel Island. Randy Wayne White lives out there and has a bar/restaurant called Doc Fords. He is now writing other series featuring different characters, some from the Doc Ford series.

Oh I bet I would really enjoy that, and that Janet Estrosumpthinorother.

I had the pleasure of meeting another ECFer over the weekend. Some of you may know chanelvaps from other threads. She stopped by the dog show in Atlanta Saturday. It's always so much fun to meet fellow ECFers, especially ones you have been good friends with for several years.

I really wanna get a tablet so that I can start reading again, I miss it. I have a hard time holding the books very long, but once I am hurtin to much to be on computer, and need to stretch flat on the couch, I could totally use a tablet to be able to see the print well and not have to worry bout hands, shoulder, elbow etc hurting from holding the books. perfect time to read.

Just a word of experience here. My iPad gets really heavy and awkward to read on (as did my Kindle when I had one). My hands and arms get sore using it. I just put the books on my smartphone now and it works out much better even though I have a really big smartphone (iPhone 6+).

I watched from the first season through when Tyreese died. Someday I'll catch up again. I'll have to prepare for Glenn's death scene though. Lots of tissues. You get used to these people after years of watching.

I know what you mean... but certain characters, I'm okay with losing... Glenn had been there since season one though. Those are the ones that are hardest for me to lose.

Did you see the "preview ''for next week? Morgan is pushing around Carol in a wheelchair! In the Kingdom of all places!! ( No, not the heavenly one, the one with the lion)

And i'm SO glad that Daryl didn't get batted into eternity , he's my favorite and if he'd been offed I would've had to throw a major fit and personally boycotted the show....

P.S. did anyone watch the 11/2 hour Talking Dead right after? It was heartbreaking!

Yep, Saw the previews, watched Talking Dead... my Bride and I don't miss a thing on that show! I agree though... Daryl is my favorite character, too. Everybody makes fun of the Redneck... until the apocalypse.

You should be able to connect your smart phone to your laptop and download the kindle app and books that way no cell service needed. Worth a try anyways.

Finally found the Strongbow. So far I like that one the best. The Angry Orchard Green Apple is good too. The Red's ones we didn't like at all, too much of a beer like taste.

Sounds like your tastes run about the same as mine on ciders.
Strongbow (Honey is my absolute favorite!)
Angry Orchard (there are no bad ones.)
Red's Apple Ale... meh... I'd drink it if nothing else was available...

There are a whole bunch more that are pretty good, too. Crispin is great over ice, Ace Perry Cider isn't bad either. That's the only other ones that I can think of off the top of my head... I haven't had a cider in a while... I'm workin' through another bottle of Knob's Creek Bourbon right now. I had switched over to try Bulliett Bourbon, which wasn't bad. Knob's Creek is better though. I may try something else when this bottle is dry, but it all depends on what I find at the store.

Well, I got my movkin disguiser in, quite nice, here it is next to my adv, ipv4s

it's a bit bulky for those with small hands, but fits well in mine.

but then I like big mods (and I cannot lie)

The coolest part is you can hide any tank (25mm and under diameter)

as for functionality, it works great, tc if you want it, vw if you dont, with this tank it chucks serious clouds, and it uses 2 18650s so long battery life.

and eyes I put the pen in for scale.

We don't have many choices here. Really small town.
The only Strongbow I was able to find was the basic one. I will see if I can fiind the others you mention but I don't remember seeing them anywhere. Maybe when we do our next run to the big city though so putting them in the cell phone notes.

I am picky about alcohol and really very rarely drink so I was pleasantly surprised by the ciders.

Now if I could figure out how to DIY that sour apple taste in an eliquid I would be a happy girl. I've been buying MBV Apple Rings on occasion for years and it is as close as I can come to it. I have had ZERO luck duplicating it with a DIY so far. LOL
