In all of our voting lives we have never seen such a distasteful "choice"; we decided we'll vote with the Supreme Court choices in mind.
And then take hot showers.
Welcome to the Porches! Make yourself comfortable.

I see you're new to ECF. Are you new to vaping too, or just to ECF? Tell us all about yourself.

Well good news. Alyssa found the owner of the doggie. She lives 2 houses down and has been working 16 hour days. She just got her 2 weeks ago and hasn't had a chance to update the chip, so Alyssa is taking her home after work. Good thing the ladies friend saw Alyssas notice with pic in FB and told her and she messaged her. Glad she was a good enough person not to take her to the pound. Her Goofball doggie will be much happier now. So that all worked itself out.
But…but that poor little dog spends 17 hrs a day alone? That's not right. Does he have to hold it for all these hours? That's not right. How did he get away? Obviously this lady wasn't paying close attention. That's not right either.

I get that she probably doesn't have a choice over working such long hours. Maybe she needs a pet sitter to give some love and care to that little guy.

Not too new to either, first tried to quit smoking with an ego-t (that I read about on ECF). I've lurked ECF for quite a while, and finally was compelled to join.

It's a great group of people, and I'm glad to be here. I'm especially glad to be here without a cigarette :)

And the problem with that is like they were saying they plan to appoint ones that think exactly like them, is that what we want? They are supposed to be impartial, Right?

I think the impartiality ship has sailed, if there ever was one. Garland is a reasonable man, and I'd be fine with him.
I'm not one that believes a successful assault on any of the Articles in the Bill of Rights is imminent; I think people lose sight of the level of difficulty the Executive branch would have in pulling that off, but I do get concerned when there is no check on lower courts which is the essential result of constant ties. I feel an even number SCOTUS is anathema to true justice.

Wow ... that's nice news.

Welcome to the porch Mice Elf. Always nice to have more folks join in.

Hey ya know how they have the free magazine stand at the grocery with Wheels Deals and Apartment Finder well now here they have a magazine with all the (OTHER STUFF) Stores in it with all the specials Senior Day, all the time Veterans Specials.
If you understand the (OTHER STUFF) since it is legal here now all the Medical only stores changed over to both. There are more of those stores here then B&M's. This friend of ours who had a Medical one had to get a new license and at the same time took on a partnership so they have 2 stores one in Spokane and one in Cheney right by Eastern Washington University. They are more interested in stopping vaping here for the children then the other stuff. It's a crazy world we are living in, although I don't use the other stuff I know a lot of people who do and I don't see the problem with either.

We went with Verizon after Both Sprint and AT&T failed at us getting a signal INSIDE the house. It really stunk having to go outside in Louisiana heat to make a phone call. Verizon no problems at all works great even inside.
Yep I've been with Verizon for 20+ years and no complaints with service. You can get it almost anywhere except my MIL's place.

No she doesn't she has her older Mother living with her and a son and 2 other dogs. The mother had the dog outside with her and she was doing some yard work and the dog slipped out under the gate. The lady that lives there is a nurse and that's why she works so many hours. Now they know each other and Alyssa found out that it is her next door neighbor but she has been hesitant to talk to the neighbors because of her circumstances Jacob is not there and people there are moving a lot. It has a huge military poplulation and people come and go all the time plus their back yards are like the are in lots of the SW area concrete block fences 6' high and you never see your neighbor. She was going to go door to door this weekend but like yesterday she didn't get off work till 10 at night and she showed up Sunday. Luckily she only has to pull that kind of shift at the end of the month.

YAY!

I was starting to worry that I was going to have to:
1. Convince my hubby Chihuahuas are not rats.
2. Doggie proof my house.
3. Find the time and money to do a very LOOOOOOONG drive (as in I would have to do it in several days) with no AC in the car (in this heat)

My Doc long ago suggested I get a dog. For socialization, getting out of the house, exercise and companionship reasons. I just don't think I would do very well training one (I am not dominant enough)and the hubby can't. I darn sure do not have the energy for puppy. I also do not know jack about dogs or taking care of them. I've always been a cat person. AN already loving well behaved pooch was VERY tempting. It is for the best she found her human though. :)

Have you ever seen these places that only find homes for Senior pets. They get some really nice pooches at those places. They don't have to be real old and on their last legs either. I've seen some really nice ones at those at least they seem nice.

Never heard of them. I will do some checking around. Here the shelter only gives animals 24 hours. Most of the animals they get are abandoned semi ferals or former fighting dogs. I keep going and looking at the dogs and cats. None of them has picked me yet in a way that says this is the one.
