Any one here have one of those little handy cams? Ginny wants to get one. Our little GD is in a family way. Due in Janurary. She wants us there.

Congrats to the parents and grandparents.

Saw that last night. It was awesome, Simon put her through to the live shows.

Rain, we knew we needed a new roof, now we really need a new roof. Currently a hole in the living room ceiling while we try to figure out the problem for a temporary patch. Spread a lot of goo today where we thought the leak was coming from, more rain, more dripping into buckets. Tomorrow hubby will go up with a hose and I will holler when the dripping starts. We do most work ourselves, but not a roof. Patch, yes. Ceiling, not worried. Since flipping houses I can drywall pretty well myself, hubby is a pro.

We hope to have the money for the roof after his trip to Texas, but with this Canine flu who knows. People are vaccinating, so hopefully they will still show by then and the dogs will be safe. It ain't pretty right now.

Wait till the tide comes in. Especially in a few more years. Got SCUBA
Matter of fact I do. What I don't have anymore is the breath to use it. Mild COPD that isn't ever going away. I think my doctor would have kittens if I told her I was going diving. However if the flood hits I could probably buddy breath Doree, the critters and myself to higher ground. It would have to be one hell of flood, we're west of I-95.:)

Actually wid da past three days of liquid sunshine, we're pretty close to ground saturation. Which is a good thang due to our thirsty season thus far!
Trees are plopping over with frightening regularity the last couple of days here as well.

Legs, Lonnie, CW and anyone else with an interest in TC;
I made a coil with 7 wraps of 26 gauge SS 304, 3 mm inside diameter loops, and set it up with Legs' suggested settings of 20 joules and TCR of 0.00102. It's 0.54 ohms. Worked wonderfully well but didn't taste good to me with a rayon wick... I rewicked with organic cotton... yes, that's the ticket! I've got the temperature set at 350 F with a compensation temperature of 75 F.

First DIY coil in over a year, maybe closer to a year and a half. The time has come for me to pay forward the ample supply of rayon that was payed forward to me a couple of years ago... it's so easy to make wicks with it but I know for sure from this and previous experiences that I just can't get over the taste of rayon. Lots of people say rayon is tasteless and that's why they like it more than cotton but put me in the camp that finds the reverse is true.

Wow...I come home to multiple reports from here !

Please...check your post before hitting Post Reply - some things are just not appropriate to post.
(If you have to wonder if it will be ok it probably isn't.)

I guess I'm done with this thread, since even after this post from Classy, certain people continue to insist on baiting others. This isn't Facebook, where I would expect this type of behavior. I wish you all the best, but I've had all the snide comments and remarks I can take.

There is only one person (generally), and he gets back with the program once rebuked. He has lots of problems. You don't need to leave because of this, it only happens once every one or two months.

A few months ago we had a pine tree that was hit by lightning - cut it in half and the top half (about 20 ft long) landed 30 ft away (literally blasted) - got lucky - it did not hit anything...

Glad you got it working to your satisfaction Dave:thumb:

On Rayon, I hear that a lot from locals here, "I don't like the taste of rayon". So I rewick their coils with rayon and they taste nothing but the juice. A few weeks later I see them and they're back on cotton claiming that they just can't get the wicking down with Rayon. They're doing something different but beats me what it is.

Yeah, ventriloquism might be making a comeback if that young lady keeps at it. Very entertaining AGT video that Mike posted.

Catching the water in buckets... been there. I put off getting it fixed for years, due to my obligations under the Procrastinators Creed. Mine was mostly from the cheap skylights that I ordered with my mobile home... sure was nice to get a new roof and have the skylights replaced with much better Velux skylights. I hope you're able to find and temporarily fix your leaks while you gather the funds to have it done right. I know a handyman in Florida who does nice work, goes by the name of Matt.

Looks like a coil clogger to me.
I believe that is a Wismec Reuleaux that CW is sporting in that pitcha. Somebody had asked what the mod was but he must not have seen the post.

I don't like the taste of rayon. I'm sure. o_O:lol: People who don't pick up any taste from it think know that I'm nuts. Cotton has a taste too, but it's completely pleasant to me.

I'm the same with rayon. It's fine after about a tank, but why go thru that when cotton is great from the start.
