I was pleasantly surprised that 2 people have said they want some of the rayon that I want to give away, so I'm gonna send half to each. I just took it out of the bag to see how much there is, and the total length is about 12 feet. @DavidOck, the rayon you sent me over a year ago continues to spread its goodness east of the Mississippi!

Rayon wicks differently than rayon, eh? :thumb: Using cotton is not satisfactory, it's nirvana. Back in the day (not that long ago) we knew that if there was a new wicking material, Mikey would try it, and do a good job of it. Hemp, ceramic, and stainless mesh off the top of my head.

oops!

Yep I've tried 'em all. You left out Ready-X. 'bout the only ones I didn't try was that twisted stainless rope stuff, Fe wire and SS wire. When I tried TC, it was all about Ni and that's what I used w/ TC.

Cotton and Rayon work/taste pretty much the same for me. I give the edge to Rayon. For me an my juice types it lasts longer between re-wickings.

Yeah, ventriloquism might be making a comeback if that young lady keeps at it. Very entertaining AGT video that Mike posted.

Catching the water in buckets... been there. I put off getting it fixed for years, due to my obligations under the Procrastinators Creed. Mine was mostly from the cheap skylights that I ordered with my mobile home... sure was nice to get a new roof and have the skylights replaced with much better Velux skylights. I hope you're able to find and temporarily fix your leaks while you gather the funds to have it done right. I know a handyman in Florida who does nice work, goes by the name of Matt.

I believe that is a Wismec reuleaux that CW is sporting in that pitcha. Somebody had asked what the mod was but he must not have seen the post.
Talking about the juice.

I guess I'm done with this thread, since even after this post from Classy, certain people continue to insist on baiting others. This isn't Facebook, where I would expect this type of behavior. I wish you all the best, but I've had all the snide comments and remarks I can take.

As with all threads there are a lot of different people with lots of different opinions about things. We're not going to agree with everything and it certainly doesn't mean that someone who posts something you take issue with doesn't have worthwhile things to say. I hope you will either use the ignore feature or just scroll past any posts you don't like.

Talking about the juice.
As I said, someone asked what mod was shown in the picture. That question hadn't been answered at the time that I posted, so I answered it. Documentation available for a nominal fee.

Rayon is a great wicking material in many ways. It rinses clean, it's stronger, it's more durable, it's more uniform and it's easier to manipulate. You don't need to allow for expansion inside the coil the way you do with cotton.

Do sincerely hope you'll reconsider! Just because there is bait out dere doesn't mean anyone has to bite...

@MattB101 it didn't look like it was gunking the coils up yet. Then again temp control seems to keep gunk down as well. Not to mention, rayon and stainless steel wire, I've noticed, not really a lot of crud gets on the coils. It's like the wire is resistant to build up.

I don't get nearly the amount of gunk using SS as I did with Kanthal. Same juices & everything. I can go much longer before having to dry burn. Wicks stay gunk free longer, too.

I'm the same with rayon. It's fine after about a tank, but why go thru that when cotton is great from the start.

Me too, it's like rayon has a dry taste or something like that. I don't care for it. But different strokes for different folks. Glad the setting works for you Dave. I think I forgot the temp comp had F and not just C. If the temp seems like it is a little high for the setting you can change the TCR to a slightly lower number. With SS316L I usually use between 405 and 420. The number I gave you is from Steam Engine, DJLSB labs shows it at .00105 but I find his TCR's a little high. He shows 316L at .00092 which for my liking on the SX is a little high. That's the reason I use SE for TCR's

The question is how hard is it to switch to SS. I'm using two Eleaf Istick TC40W as my everyday mod and Kay fun Lite+ V3 toppers. Also have a SXMINI but no way of updating the software. I have a mac and my understanding is that YiHi is PC only.

Not hard at all or I wouldn't have done it. Add a couple of wraps to reach same ohms. The flavor is better imo.

I hate to say it but my heart is breaking. I have a little pup that is a 6-year old mix-breed Shih Tzu/Poodle female. Over the weekend I noticed she was having a problem with her sight. I got her to the vet yesterday and he ran a blood test. He ruled out Lime Disease and a couple others that I didn't understand. She didn't have a fever her temp was 102.8°. He gave me a 10 day supply of Prednisone to try to treat a possible infection. Her eyes are bloodshot suggesting an infection. He found no obvious reason for the loss of sight and suggested it might be a form of Macular Degeneration. I am keeping her comfortable. I have the yard sectioned off and now trying to figure out a way to mark the fence so she won't run into it and cause further harm.

I've played around with my temperature setting since yesterday. 350 F was starting to seem a little hot and I've been at 325 for the past 6 hours.

Your TCR for SS316L is .00088, if I'm reading Steam Engine correctly... is that the TCR setting that you're using?

Also, to help me grasp what you're saying about the TCR setting, does reducing TCR (while leaving all other settings the same) give you a cooler vape, or a hotter vape?

I have a PC but for some reason I'm unable to connect to the software. It isn't necessary to do so. Legs taught me that.

There is only one person (generally), and he gets back with the program once rebuked. He has lots of problems. You don't need to leave because of this, it only happens once every one or two months.
Are you speaking of me. I have no problems. Well maybe a couple. I seem to see the world in a different light then others and don't think anything of saying here what I would say to others. Maybe its me that needs to leave this thread. I could make life better for y'alll.
