108 years ago (1908) The Cubs won the World Series. They were the longest without winning.
For those fans of the Cubs who have been so their whole lives, you should be proud.
For the more recient fans... YOU ALL POZERS

I'll admit to rarely watching baseball, but I've always rooted for the Cubs. Grew up listening to Harry Caray. So even though I only watched a handful of games this year, mostly during the post season, I'm proud to consider myself a true fan.

They covered the field for the rain and I got the brilliant idea to heat up some mozzarella sticks for the hubby to munch on for the rest of the game. Before they were done the game was over. LOL

Although I am not a big sports fan, having grown up in Chicago I had to hope they would win. And they did!!! Chicago is partying today!

Last night, I parked my .... at Ball Park Village, a Sports venue adjacent to Busch Stadium .. which is, traditionally, the nexus of Cardinal Nation / Party Nest .. you'd have thought the Cards were in the series by the crowd reactions .. in my humble opinion, Game 7 will be considered one of the top five games ever played in the history of baseball, for various reasons .. although my head has yet to make a full recovery from a slight case of alcohol overload, salute to "The Boys of Summer"

Absolutely, one of the best games. Some seriously questionable strategic decisions made during the game, but it was sure exciting. Not always good exciting, but exciting nonetheless.
